De La Hoya has nothing to be ashamed of, because he didn’t get beat by Pacquiao on Saturday night. Instead, he screwed up and beat himself by coming into the fight so slim at 147, which as it turns out, left him weight drained, sickly looking and very weak – much too weak to fight effectively against Pacquiao. De La Hoya, who normally walks around at 180, had to strip off a ton of weight in order to get back down to the welterweight limit, where Oscar hasn’t fought against a competitive opponent for roughly seven years. The weight loss clearly left De La Hoya in a weakened condition against the speedy Pacquiao judging from Oscar’s lack of power, ring movement and stamina in the fight. Instead of going into the fight at around 160 and losing the last 10 to 13 pounds with temporarily draining water from his system, Oscar made the fatal mistake of melting down to 147 and fighting at that weight.

Floyd turned offensive after getting rocked early and he totally dismantled Mosley, round after round, with hard flush shots.

Canelo never hurt Mosley from what I remember while Floyd landed numerous shots with mean intentions. It was one of those rare moments where Floyd just wanted to fight and Mosley still feels that sting.

canelo counter punched and boxed with people back then. wasnt till really the second GGG fight he started coming forward a lot more and sitting on all his punches.

so yeah canelo wasnt looking to take off mosley's head he was trying to outbox him and really just get a decision not stoppage. Canelo from the last few years would have been tryign to knock out old mosley. you look at say Canelo-plant, he had that win in the bag and could have just cruised to a decision but even the last rounds he was still hunting for that knockout and finally got it. he didnt use to be like that his early days.

and floyd did fight mosley and cotto particularly aggressively. he landed on them flush a lot and rocked cotto with that upper cut made him do the chicken dance.

His pops told him he was scared in between rounds.

The only thing consistent with Floyd was all the running and holding. Landed punches were few and far between.

You know you are in denial when you try to claim a Manny 60+ fights already been kod isnt shopworn

Floyd he showed good power against shopworn fighters he needed the extra strength to clinch effectively

Why didn’t Manny fight Floyd from 2005-2009? Why wait until Floyd was old to call him out?

I don't like haters and jump on them with many fighters, now I would not say a word to you if you said these 2/3 chronic haters need to stf up, then I can relate, but if you want only one side of haters view day after day , I guess you can stf up. Now Im willing to bet money that you are no fan of Floyd and that's why you posted which also shows how empty your post was, when I see total BS from haters of any fighters I call it and I know enough about boxing to shut them down every time.

If you think something is wrong come out of the closet and spell it out.

The story took another direction because you cried about Oscar being one of the worst cases of a drained fighter on record, which is why he lost. Non of which was Mannys fault at all, Oscar agreed to the weight and he paid the price, Manny originally wanted 144 and Oscar said no, he had to accept 147 or there was no fight, he had not been there in nearly 10 yrs but he took it on and messed up real bad the loss is on him, as it has all came out in how weakened Oscar was in that fight, its a hollow win beating a weakened fighter, just like I give no credit to Leonard beating LaLonde, or Ward beating Dawson because it was obvious they were all badly drained fighters shells of their best form in those fights.

Beating Mosley at til end of his career doesn't carry the same value as if you were to beat a prime mosley. Ditto Pac. Ditto Oscar.
Lol Mayweather isn't close to being the best boxer of all time. But if you want to say Mayweather fought a old De La Hoya and Mosely then so did Pac. You can also add Pac beating Ricky Hatton after Mayweather did it first. Margarito after Shane Mosely stopped him and other fighters beat him. Miguel Cotto after Margarito beat him, Marco Antonio Barrera after Junior Jones beat him twice, and I could go on.
