If Eddie Hearn says he lost, he lost like a mother****er.
Did Joshua really lose the Usyk rematch?

I thought he lost on my initial viewing enough that I didn't really care to rewatch it. While I would agree he did a lot better this time around, he was still a step or two behind Usyk.
Joshua against Usyk is like a rear wheel American muscle car loaded with horsepower trying to out maneuver a smaller, less HP AWD track car on windy/windy roads.Last edited by ELPacman; 06-21-2023, 02:40 PM.Comment

In 1st fight Joshua won 2 rounds, in 2nd fight Joshua won 3 rounds.
He didn't win enough rounds in two fights to get a drawComment

I didn't see it so much as Usyk playing possum, more like Joshua choosing to summon his remaining energy to try and get Usyk out of there. I think Joshua should probably have come out of the gate with that same round 9 ferocity. As it was, when that round was done, Joshua had only enough gas in the tank to coast the last 3 rounds.
With both fighters having their respective pedals to the metal, Joshua wins for as long as he can sustain the effort. Early in the fight, that would have been more than just one round.Comment

Good fight but fairly obviously a win for Usyk.
If Joshua had been awarded the win, there would have been cries of robbery and I suspect he would have gone for a trilogy fight.
It's not like he would get a fight with Fury. Where else would he go?Comment

What's with this trend of "this guy clearly won 6 rounds, and the other guy didn't win more than a couple clear at best, and then there were some competitive rounds, so let's give the loser the fight?Comment

He literally played possum. He had Joshua and the entire crowd thinking he was badly hurt to the body, then came out with a full gas tank and dominated the last three rounds. He had Joshua empty his tank.

if Usyk was hurt to the body, he wouldn’t have started round 10 fresh as a daisy.Comment
