50/50 or pac retires. what pac got will last him forever in teh PI, plus he'll be a senator soon.

floyd can't afford to not make the fight with all his financial problems and lifestyle.

"my **** is paid for, what about yours"

he almost got repoed by the IRS.

      2. hatton unbeaten at 140 is better than slugish 147 hatton who had trouble with collazo. go watch these fights before making dumb posts.
Hatton was sluggish because he build too much muscle, go research that. Hatton was not sluggish against Mayweather, it's more due to his opponents as oppose to how he looked. Don't get that twisted, Mayweather beating Hatton/ Pacquiao beating Hatton are both good wins.

he can be the favorite against floyd if he beats cotto by any stoppage, or even a dominating win.

floyd should not overtake pac as p4p#1 by beating jmm...it was expected as a tune up for floyd. it was even disappointing he was not able to stop jmm, as he was trying to do so! floyd could have done it if he was not that afraid to get kicked instead...he's a real "safety first" boxer..."intelligent" indeed.

To prove he is #1, Pacquiao would have to beat Mayweather. Wins over Diaz/Delahoya/Hatton are not ATG-ish. And Roach himself has said that Cotto is weathered.
pacquiao don't have to prove anything...it wasn't his choice to be p4p#1 anyway. those people that matter made him. i don't think manny will cry a river if he slipped in p4p rankings....like floyd did!
cotto is not weathered..."cotto is a complete fyter"; roach cathegorically stated.

no way arum would avoid to promote a clash between the titans of boxing. too much money to let go.
freddie and arum are just posturing to maneuver themselves for any negotiations later on.....like floyd is doing himself.

        ryt on.....
we will see how manny will perform against miguel, and take it from there whether or not he can handle floyd. im a pacfan but i know floyd is way skillful than manny. but manny can ably switch floyd's lights out with one huge punch. whereas floyd will just accumulate points on every round.

pacman beats cotto, he fights floyd.....there's no way you just "walk away" from the biggest fight in boxing history.
manny can rewrite boxing history when he beats cotto. fyting and beating floyd will surely catapult his status amongst the G.O.A.T... minimum $25M is another juicey reason to carry on.

          • Why is Freddie Roach saying they'll be friends for life when Pac doesn't phone him for months on end?

What Hatton was better, the undefeated Hatton Maywayweather fought, or the Hatton Pacuqiao fought?
IMO, dela hoya beat mayweather in their only fight. that's why money didn't give hoya a rematch.

Regarding hatton vs mayweather, if the fight was at 140 lbs, i believe it's a different story.

              • if Manny doesn't fight Floyd it'll look like he's duckin' him.....not sayin' he is....but thats how the boxing community usually judge moves like that!!!.....Floyd retired without fighting Cotto.......and we all know the songs that were sung by boxing fans all over...."Floyd is duckin' Cotto".....so if Manny doesn't make this fight happen......the Pac fans will have to get used to hearin' that song!!!.....it is what it is!!!

                • A better topic would have been Pacquiao could reture Mayweather.

A way to beat him is to understand his footwork. His footwork is very impressive that the opponent is always on the wrong foot to land a punch. He knows how the body must be poised for an effective connection and this is how he works his way to be elusive. Watch his tapes and focus on the footwork compared to his opponents'.

Your obviously a fool.Floyd called Hatton out before that fight and Hatton priced himself out of that fight.

manny has been fyting in weights higher and higher from where he should fyt.
would you call it ducking if he chooses not to fyt another welter after cotto??
floyd is a natural welter who retired when everybody in his div is calling him out...now that is plain and simple ducking. proof is he returns to fyt a small FW in marquez...even came in overweight, with all dishonesty.

marquez have only himself to blame. go to the archives 2 years back and you'll understand. it is only up to manny if he will rematch jmm...i wish he would so juanita will finally accept defeat...with a ko.

ducking is when he refuse to fyt his peers in the same division,..like floyd.
manny myt choose to clean the 140 div, or fyt jmm to conclude their trilogy.....meanwhile floyd can continue ducking the legit welters. otherwise he retires again.

This has NEVER been done before a GREAT accomplishment, having an undefeated record has been done by a HOF'r like Joe Calzaghe...regardless of how odd that seems yes Joe was undefeated, that is a FACT.

Manny shouldn't retire if he wins. he should take some time off and let the Welters fight each other until it settles down, then he can come back and fight the man...and NO Floyd is not the man at Welterweight right NOW

If Floyd can retire and come back twice...why can't Manny
                      good observation, brah!!
after cotto, if he wins, manny should wait for the welters to eliminate themselves out...i wonder how floyd will react to this, who will he fyt?!?
i will opt for manny to give the fyt to marquez and silence him once and for all with a huge ko!

But if he will retire after without fighting these guys i will say he is ducking them despite i am his fan.
now that will be ducking on the part of floyd.....
manny's last 3 fyts has been fyting guys that are "too big for him."
reason why, aside from his whirlwind style, manny gained the respect and admiration of many boxing fans.

                      floyd retiring = ducking!!!!
this was very obvious, then and now....
