Hatton was sluggish because he build too much muscle, go research that. Hatton was not sluggish against Mayweather, it's more due to his opponents as oppose to how he looked. Don't get that twisted, Mayweather beating Hatton/ Pacquiao beating Hatton are both good wins.

When he beats Cotto by brutal KO or fight stoppage, he should not even think of retiring without fighting Money, first.

This seems like blatant ducking. Mayweather was #1, and Pac only got to that slot by FMJ retiring. May comes back, and many people have restored Floyd to the #1 spot.

floyd should not overtake pac as p4p#1 by beating jmm...it was expected as a tune up for floyd. it was even disappointing he was not able to stop jmm, as he was trying to do so! floyd could have done it if he was not that afraid to get kicked instead...he's a real "safety first" boxer..."intelligent" indeed.

To prove he is #1, Pacquiao would have to beat Mayweather. Wins over Diaz/Delahoya/Hatton are not ATG-ish. And Roach himself has said that Cotto is weathered.

IMO, dela hoya beat mayweather in their only fight. that's why money didn't give hoya a rematch.

A way to beat him is to understand his footwork. His footwork is very impressive that the opponent is always on the wrong foot to land a punch. He knows how the body must be poised for an effective connection and this is how he works his way to be elusive. Watch his tapes and focus on the footwork compared to his opponents'.

If and that is a BIG IF Manny beats Cotto he can retire and claim something not even Floyd can touch, being a champion in 7 divisions. If Manny Pacquaio retires without fighthing Floyd so what, I am sure Floyd will fight Mosley and maybe Cotto and then retire, he will not fight Margarito and Williams cuz he don't need them and they are too big for Floyd.
