It surely was better than BJS, Plant and Smith. Those are the top 3 in Canelo's resume. If you are going to mention GGG then look up the compubox records or rewatch the fight(s).

The same question can be asked about Canelo with Toney.

Toney wasn’t at his best at 168, which is Canelo’s best weight. If Toney comes to fight like he did against Nunn, Johnson, Barkley and Jirov, he can win the counter punch war by decision. Neither man is getting knocked out by the other.

Toney was hard to hit but had such a good chin.

              Right.

Am I saying Canelo wins and it won't be close? No.

              Hence the question.

That's weird because he looked terrible in both of those fights.

Nothing to do with what I asked.

You said the fight won't be close.

Who has Toney ever beaten on Canelo's level in a clear manner?

From the eye test, Toney never has been as clueless as Canelo vs Bivol. Canelo got outclassed twice, against top opponents, but still both times it was arguably a 12-0 shut out. Quit after round 2 vs Bivol.
