Low single is shot from about 6 feet out. the only thing you have to poke is the back of USMAN's head. if you decide to poke eyeballs from the bottom. then the person on top might just bite your neck and kill you.

game over for the beta male loser on the bottom in the streets.

Boxing isn't just one tool and what was the famous quote one of the forefounders of MMA in Bruce Lee said? ''I fear not the man who has practiced 10,000 kicks once, but I fear the man who has practiced one kick 10,000 times''

A boxer is also an entirely different proposition. An MMA fighter or wrestler is going to attempt to sprawl, get underhooks, a boxer see's you recklessly coming in, dipping your head giving a huge read especially a Mexican counterpuncher he's going to throw the uppercut, Canelo's best punch he trains extensively.
A guy like Canelo has supreme balance and an extremely low center of gravity with very short, thick legs which would almost certainly make him difficult to take down in any situation let alone with shoes. He wouldn't be overextending or reaching and give up his side or back either. This is a big factor why wrestling and such is so effective in MMA because they simply can't box at all. Its no coincidence the MMA fighters who actually have half decent boxing have much better takedown defense than those that don't - GSP, Aldo, JDS, Garbrandt etc

He may have more tools but he also needs to apply a lot more and put himself in multiple situations/positions just to get the fight to where he needs it to be, all of which carry a serious danger.

Him knowing who Canelo is gives him a much greater chance you would think but if he didn't chances are regardless of his wrestling or MMA he'd look to throw a punch or grab at the chest and get smoked in the blink of an eye.

I am not even going to talk about Usman here but anyone who can take a punch and get in is going to win.

I remember us (Judo team) at the Dojo one time at the university having problems with these Karate-boxing dudes.
They kept on practicing after their time was due.
LOL, only one encounter and they did stick to the schedule after that little encounter.

When two men get in a fight, their primary instinct is always to punch each other in the face.

Therefore, despite MMA having fewer restrictions, in reality street/bar/spontaneous fights actually resemble a (bad) boxing match far more closely than anything else.

For that reason, my money's always on a boxer in a street fight.

Poll predictably demonstrates how ****ing delusional, ignorant of fighting outside of pure boxing and in denial a lot of boxing fans are. You'd think 30 years of NHB/MMA combat with hardly any rules would have made it pretty clear by now. Much bigger former national wrestling champion and BJJ black belt who also has about a decades worth of striking training (including kicks/knees/elbows) and who trains specifically to close distance on people who are trying to strike him AND have takedown defence......vs a 5'7 pure boxer.

Very rarely will kicking win a guy a street fight.
Nelo lands a 1/2 hearted jab and it's over.

A skilled boxer is not going to let ANYONE get that close to them, especially in a street fight.
When I watch MMA, I don't see mastery of any art. Just wild punches and opportunistic kicking.
Then, once on the ground, I don't see anything special. Moves that any HS wrestler can pull off.

We all know MMA guys have the worst punch resistance.
