  • Maybe it looks that way because you're mostly watching guys who made it to the elite level. But there are plenty of fighters from ex-Soviet countries who couldn't transfer their amateur skills to the professional code.

I don't think there is a best style considering the rock/paper/scissors...

  • But the lack of explanation for any of it isn't so understandable.

If you're a parent and you tell your kid not to do something and they disobey you, it can make sense to discipline them. But if you adopt a kid, refuse to speak to it and instead start punishing it without explaining why,...

  • My guess is that the new owners bought this place primarily for the main page, and the forum just doesn't matter much. They're interested in getting clicks on their articles and views on their videos, but a bunch of randoms discussing controversial issues doesn't earn them any extra money. Not sure...

  • Highly unlikely that TC or Spence ever fight at 147 again.

Barrios and Stanionis are not slick, neither is Norman. Ennis is the only elite fighter at 147....

  • I'd prefer Usyk-Fury rematch. Fight was great but they're not getting any younger and if they don't do it again next one of them might lose to somebody else. But if we don't get the rematch I'd like

    Usyk vs Parker
    Hrgovic vs Fury
AJ vs Wilder/Anderson winner or Kabayel

  • Norman got dropped in his last fight but a clash of heads caused a cut and an NC. Top Rank looked at that and figured they had a nice cherry pick opponent for their guy to pick up an easy belt. Always happy to see such manoeuvres fall apart. I hope Norman gets a nice payday to unify once TC vacates....

  • Fury is an inconsistent guy. He'll find it incredibly hard to dig down deeper than ever before for a rematch, considering he just did that and still came away with an L, and especially as he's almost certainly less hungry now than he was as a young man. I think he'll pass on the rematch.

  • Did you have much training/amateur experience going into the fight? A shame it didn't go well but at least you got in there and gave it a go....

  • AJ used the jab well at times in the rematch. In the first fight he pawed with it too much. AJ doesn't have the boxing IQ of Fury but his jab is very good, better than any Usyk opponent I can think of. Breidis also had some success with the jab from what I remember.

  • Why so upset? He was asked if he'd fight Loma, said yes he would but that he was focused on May 18th. Pretty standard answer, clearly not looking past Navarrete....

  • Cunningham is better at communicating his views than most retired boxers, has he done commentary before? If not would like to see him give it a go.

  • IIRC, it happened with Lewis-Tyson. Contract was a 2 fight deal, Tyson didn't want the rematch, Lennox tried to force it but couldn't.

  • Saudis started out well but recent talk of TC vs Canelo and this fight are bad for the sport. Not long ago there was talk they wanted Bivol to face Jai if he became undisputed. How is the sport going to have ATGs and superstars if as soon as somebody achieves something big, we move them 2-3 divisions...
