Due to the wide discrepancy, adjusting the split to 80/20 is appropriate. It's no different than when Fury was the mandatory and the split was modified to 80/20 because Klitschko was one of the biggest draws in boxing at the time.

Pulev got 80 because his team won purse bids he was not mandatory for Whyte what are you talking about ? Pulev had zero titles to his name against A.J and that’s an entirely different story under the IBF.
