The title of the video was a bit misleading.

Warren says that the WBC and Whyte’s arbitration hearing isn’t until March, so nothing can even be negotiated until after that. so Fury basically wants to fight before that, a stay busy fight.

because of the arbitration and Whyte being in that position, a title can’t really be on the line so it’s just a non title stay busy fight.

seems ok to me, rather than sitting around. Better to stay active. Fury was out of the ring for 18 months last time because of these cases, so why should he stay inactive because of somebody else’s case?

They had 30 days before purses, not sure what happened there. Can't see how he can fit in a fight before Whyte... Especially if they lose the purse bid

Well it seems now that Whyte and WBC still have a case going on that doesn’t have a hearing until March, so nothing can be negotiated

It seems the problem is that Whyte wants 45% of the split from purse bids and WBC think it’s too much. That’s what they have a hearing about in March.

Fury should not have to stay inactive because of a dispute between two other parties

That was the case before the 30 days was ordered. Nothing has changed.

Seems like they're trying to 'play a card' here to me.

Just get on with it and fight.

Not saying this is you, but I hate when fans justify these things. It's an easy fight to make. Just say 60/40 and everyone is happy (even if they claim not to be).

Fury has no one excuse not one to not defend his title .

Arbitration isn’t holding that up is it ?

Fury is becoming a laughing stock ,can’t even get out of the gates and put the WBC title on the line in a first true title defense, honesty that’s just garbage .

I see this as the WBC trying to force Whyte into either accepting an 80/20 split from Fury, or putting his WBC mando shot on hold again. Dillian has made life difficult for them, now they're doing the same to him.

I don't think he's allowed to defend it against anybody but Whyte, now that the mando negotiations have been ordered. And if Whyte won't accept the 80/20 spilt he's been offered, he can't defend it against Dillian, because there won't be a purse bid till the mandatory split has been determined by the arbitrator.

                    It is

if Whyte has a hearing in March with the WBC but he’s to be next in line to fight for the WBC, then Fury is still able to fight, just without the title on the line until that’s resolved.

It’s not Fury’s fault that Whyte has an ongoing case with the WBC that hasn’t had a hearing yet.

Why should Fury stall because of a case between two other parties?
