The WBC doesn't have a Franchise world champion in every weight class, just like the WBA doesn't have a Super world champion in every weight class.

You don't get to invent your own definition of undisputed champion. Every recognized boxing organization agrees that Kambosos is the world champion, therefore he is the undisputed world champion. The WBC, WBA, IBF and WBO all agree he is the champion. There is no dispute. Haney's belt is the same as Tank's belt, a second tier title.

I haven't kept up with the franchise title at all, last I'd heard it wasn't transferable, i hadn't even realised that Lopez had become franchise.

Is Canelo still franchise champ at 160? If so does that mean Charlo's belt at 160 (in the eyes of the WBC) can't be officially unified with another middleweight title, and wouldn't count as part of an undisputed reign either?

Undisputed WBC champs?they definitely were. They didn’t have all the belts. Haney no better than Dillian whyte who was #1 contender and waited much longer then whining ass haney. We get it he earned his mando he the #1 but he didn’t beat no one for the belt he’s not recognized as **** except to his nut hugging fans who want him to be called a champion so badly lol

Canelo hasn’t fought at MW for a couple of years this is much different than kambosos lopez loma haney. It’s more like dillian whytes situation. Anyone calling haney a champ must also say that whyte is a champion

I know Australian casuals want to jump to Kabanossi being the new sugar Ray Robinson but I'm afraid it's just no so.

Loma dropped the WBC title because he didn't want to face his mandatory. Not much more to it.

Franchise belt doesn't have mandatories. It's just a show belt for the mantle piece.

Mauricio said the Franchise belt wasn't linked to a division, it's a way of allowing champions to move up and down divisions without facing mandatories.

Basically, he said Canelo just represents the WBC now.

                      It's not a real title.

The WBC did make it specially transferrable for the Loma/Te'o fight, because it was a special fight. How it became on the line now is nonsense. They charging sanctioning fees now... But no mandatories. Drop that crap.
