    No offense.
Pernell Whitaker didn't officially beat Chavez but we know what happened. And the first fight was a clear winner doesn't matter how clear, Golovkin beat Canelo and beat a better version of him than Floyd.

Now in regards to the thread, Plant had success with the shoulder roll and used it to good effect defensively. However offensively he should have used been putting weight on the jab as it's the most effective offensive weapon against Canelo, especially this version of Canelo who is a much better fighter than when he fought Floyd. Plant should have been paying attention to what Golovkin was able to do as well to keep Canelo from walking forward with so much confidence, especially since he's the bigger man.

And only a prime Floyd can pull that blueprint off.

Fact is Floyd to Canelo to school in Floyd last super performance and Canelo was a game and willing student.

No shame in losing, it’s all how are you going to take that loss.

Canelo is a true student of the game.

You think Plant = Floyd ,,,,,,,, another stoppage another load of overawed that don't know what they looking at, same Floyd at a hypothetical Canelos weight 160-168 would do it all over again, Plant is not 80% of Mayweather.

So all you have to do to beat Canelo is be a good as Floyd was? Got it. That checks out.

He was past his prime, fought to survive every fight, and only fought because he needed the money. Canelo beat a past prime and old ass Mosley. Are you actually giving him credit for beating a washed up and past prime Mosley?

Canelo fought bums before fighting Trout. Trout was his first real opponent and first legit opponent.

Golovkin whipped Canelo's ass going down the stretch in that fight. Canelo corner told him he didn't have it in him to stop Golovkin and to just box enough to get to the end.

With this accomplishment, Canelo has now surpassed Floyd on the ATG list.

You're out of your damn mind. GGG outlanded him in nearly every round in both fights. Did Canelo land some shots? Sure, but not enough of them.

You don't score fights based on who gave more Mexican style man. Whatever the fu.ck that means. You score them rd by rd, and who did the best work in each round. GGG just outworked Canelo in both fights. He was too active for Canelo.

3rd fight at this time could certainly be different. All depends if GGG still has a good enough jab to keep Canelo at bay. If Canelo is able to actually walk GGG down, then he will likely get stopped late like Plant and BJS did.

                    ------

Regardless this is what you said "to beat him requires stamina and defense. You're not gonna knock him out, but outpoint him using angles and legs. He's flat footed and really loads up on his shots. I personally don't see anyone fighting today with the stamina and skills to do that. Doo Doo Andrade would have the same success for 8 or 9 rounds until he's broken down eventually."

Nearly everyone saw GGG beat Canelo in at least one of those fights. In truth he was 2-0. To beat Canelo, you need to be able to keep him at bay with a strong jab, or just say f;uck it and go to war with him. You could try to box and move for 12 rounds but Canelo's body punching is too good and that is going to wear down virtually everyone. That strategy is just a very poor one vs him.

Canelo was green and didn't get on the bicycle yet, no way would Floyd survive against this version of Canelo who can't be hurt and throws power punches that could knock out CWs
