To my eyes Canelo looked frustrated trying to get his punches through that defense. And he himself confirmed in the postfight interview that things got more difficult than he expected.
Canelo definitely was having difficulty with Plant. That was a hard fight for Canelo. Plant made him work for that win.

canelo barely beat trout at 154 in the fight before floyd, that was not this canelo. and at 152? 2 champs at 154 fighting at 152? have you ever seen such cowardice? floyd fans are pretending that this canelo is the same? or the canelo that fought ggg is the same? if you ever ever see someone saying such sh-it you just laugh and never take them seriously, simply place them in the fanboy category and move on while laughing, especially considering these were the people saying pac drained cotto for years and years and years and now...GREAT WIN FOR FLOYD OVER CANELO!

Nelo had over a decade in youth while having over 40 fights.

So you don't think that Caleb Plant's shoulder roll defense made things difficult for Canelo tonight?

Canelo didn't have championship caliber experience and solid defense before he fought Floyd. Floyd took him to school because he lacked experience in championship fights, his body wasn't developed, and he wasn't ready to fight someone like fight.
I was at the weigh in and brought tickets to the fight so I have a good memory of it. Before the fight was announced everybody was saying Floyd was scared of canelo and would not go near him. ESPN Stephen a smith said he didn’t want Floyd to fight him because he was too big and might get hurt badly. And if you you go back and watch the weigh in Jim grey infamously asked canelo was he ready and he said”I was born ready”.

even when Floyd was walking to the ring for the fight I can’t remember which commentator but he said floyds career is very dependent on the outcome of this fight. It wasn’t until after the fight all the he was too young and inexperienced started to pop up. But he wasn’t too young and inexperienced to give mosley that savage beating.

He laid traps, he tried to get Floyd to overcommit, he did things that veteran fighters do. He wasn't a green kid. He was a kid that was overmatched and in overhead due to the massive gap in boxing IQ and skill between him and Floyd. They fought, Floyd won easily. Your excuses are useless.
He tried to counterpunch and outbox Floyd. I am not a Canelo fan. You're acting like a complete emotional *****. Which is no surprise considering your name is a devotion to another man.

                  PATHETIC!!!

The dude was young, inexperienced for that type of fight, not at an ideal weight, and drained on top of it, and fought a dumb fight. I am not Canelo fan at all. He has flaws. But Floyd's win over him is definitely not face value.

It’s hard for those guys to stay mentally disciplined when Canelo starts bullying his way through them. That’s the difference between them and Mayweather. The only way to somehow break Floyd’s concentration and take him out of his comfort zone is maul him and not give him any space to set any counter punches. To this day, Canelo does not have that ability to do that. Canelo will systematically walk you down and go to the body, but he can get beat to the punch easily if you’re deceptive and smart enough. I know most of y’all still bitter about Floyd to this day, but please know what the **** you’re watching when you watch his fights. Put your feelings in your pocket!
