The shoulder roll defense is what had Plant give up so many rounds compared to the beginning. The shoulder roll defense is dependent on how hard you can take shots to the arms to begin with. In Plant’s case that adrenaline can only last so long. There were so many times that Canelo didn’t strike in range it was a bit annoying but that’s just how Canelo seems to want to fight nowadays.
