Cotto would win again at MSG in a rematch? No **** Sherlock. Why not put it at the Eve of the PR parade while you're at it?

Why didn't you mention that he fought Antonio Margarito when NO ONE had ANY idea about his ILLEGAL HAND WRAPS and HE WAS ACTUALLY THE MOST FEARED MAN IN THE WELTERWEIGHT DIVISION(With Williams being the only other fighter who wanted Tony) And Shane fought him because he wanted to fight the BEST of the WW division, the most feared, the most avoided, the man who made Cotto his *****..AND YOU KNOCK SHANE FOR THAT WIN BECAUSE...!?

You FAIL to mention that Shane fought WINKY WRIGHT at 154 WHEN WINKY WAS THE MOST AVOIDED FIGHTER IN BOXING and Shane fought him TWICE. You fail to mention how OSCAR DE LA HOYA AND TITO TRINIDAD WERE DOING EVERYTHING THEY CAN TO AVOID VERNON FORREST! and Shane fought him TWICE.

It's so amusing that everyone just focuses on the guys take on the Cotto/Mosley fight.

God forbid fans of a fighter recognize how ****in hypocritical their fighter is. Take the guys opinion on the scoring of Cotto/Mosley(A tiny portion of the article), and what you see are facts.

Shane Mosley has lost so much respect from the boxing world for his actions over the past 9 months. Criticizing fighters for doing the same exact thing he has been doing...and when he doesn't get his way he just starts bitching, and stays inactive for what...to prove a point? Grow the **** up Shane.

Next time you criticize fighters...especially fighters that HAVE ALREADY FOUGHT YOU, for seeking big money fights, make sure you haven't been making a complete fool out of yourself for the past 9 months trying to do the same exact thing.

Just a few short months ago when asked about the prospects of a Cotto rematch Shane said that he felt that would be a "step backwards". And now he's calling Cotto a prima donna for fighting Pac....it's actually disgusting.

This guy has a lot of Venom for Shane. I can see if he said go away Roy because Roy is not fighting anybody or trying to fight anybody that is somebody. Clearly the fight between Shane and Cotto was not a blowout as the writer makes it out to be.

The thing we can take away from the common foe is that Cotto was not hurting Margarito and Mosely was. Now you can say that Margarito may have taken more out of Cotto with those more than likely illegal gloves, but the fact remains that Cotto was not hurting Margarito. I don't think with loaded gloves he would have beaten Mosely. Mosely will forever beat Margarito because of styles. Will Cotto ever beat Margarito? who knows maybe if he goes to the body. Will Shane ever beat Cotto? Who knows, maybe he makes the adjustment. Shane did say that Cotto's boxing surprised him. I would never have thought that Cotto would outbox Shane.
Cotto and Shane are very evenly matched guys but in a rematch I would favor Shane.
The market will dictate Shane's fights. If no one wants to see him fight then it want happen if they do it will. Evidently people care, because they continue to put microphones in his face and want to know his thoughts. He is not calling press conferences or calling all the sports outlets to print his thoughts. Just like Brett Favre hate the media not the player!!!!

did you read the article? mosley may not get to fight mayweather....mayweather wanted the fight years ago, mosley didn't. now the tables are turned, where mayweather gets the big fights and mosley is left "chasing" the top guys....mayweather may never give mosley a shot now, being that mosley is not really a draw.

I read the article and I know that scenario. The bottom line is if there is a demand then it will happen and then if Mayweather changes his mind.
That's the fight "I" want to see. He is still a champion.
If Shane is out the picture, who do you have PBF, Pac & Cotto and of course the guy no one seem to want to fight in P. Williams.
This is about telling a legit, title holding, threat to anybody in the division WW, to walk away.
Just what we need one less contender not pretender in the division.

I agree with some of the article, disagree with some also.

Mosley deserves a big fight, still does, but he is partly to blame for not getting it.

After the Margarito fight he should have kept fighting. He lost momentum and that is what is important. He also chased after fighters who would not have much interest in him. Manny is at the point where the only fights he is interested in is huge money fights. Cotto and Floyd can supply that. Mosley cannot.

Mosley should have cleaned out the Berto's etc to keep busy. That would have eventually put Floyd in a corner and also potentially line up another Cotto fight on PPV. He would have remained an option. He still can remain an option and a Clottey fight and future Berto fight will help eliminate future opponents for Floyd and Cotto.

i don't think he meant "go away" literally, at least i don't.....i think what the author meant was "go about your business, and take the fights you can get, and quit complaining."

like him or not, mosley is one of the top fighters in the division, and any fight he's in will be a good fight, but it's annoying to hear him complain pacquiao, mayweather, and cotto are chasing the "big money" fights, when he himself is doing the same thing. i think the author meant, "go about your business, fight, and quit whining." he wasn't telling him to retire.

mosley beat margo and is the #1 WW. he deserves a big fight, but none came his way. he deserved to cash in on that win, but there were no takers.

regardless, he's fighting clottey which should be a good scrap.

First of all he didn't get it wrong....it was a pretty clear decision. Was very close....I agree that convincing isn't the word I'd use to describe it. But Cotto won.

But, no what bearing does his opinion on Cotto/Mosley have to do with Shane being a complete hypocrite in regards to calling people prima donnas for succesfully doing what he tried and failed to do? And that's get big money fights. If he landed Pac or Floyd he'd be whistling a completely different tune, believe that...
