The more I see Plant the more I think he probably outboxes Canelo

Plant will be moving all night until he can’t move anymore…and that’s when Canelo will catch up to him. Ward will show Plant how to use the jab and clinch. Ward in his prime is strong enough to do that, but Plant isn’t.

when RJJ broadcasted Canelo vs Hatton he said that Canelo punches quite possibly as hard as a LHW. That was way back then, and fighters in last several years have then said that GGg and Canelo hit like HW’s.

when plant throws punches he drops his hands and the punches are wide. he doesnt hit hard enough to keep canelo honest. canelo a good counterpuncher which is bad for a guy throwing wide punches

You know, if Plant's 12 round durability can stay intact, and he avoids the ropes, I think he'll win also (on fans scorecards). Lara is better, but he can let his back be pushed on the ropes too much. Plant also spends time on the ropes occasionally, but he's more from the Mayweather school where he's setting traps there and countering. I don't think that's wise in this fight as his defense isn't as good as Floyd's and Canelo hits too hard at 168lbs.

I actually like Caleb Plant a lot and agree that he's improving.

But in boxing experience fighting at the highest level can't be faked or bought or installed in the mind by a trainer. It has to be earned the hard way. That will be the difference in the fight in my opinion, with Plant losing but going on to be better for it.

Plant has all the ability to do what you said dan he just has to put it together on fight night. People are very irrational and emotional on their predictions for this fight for two reasons. 1. Canelo is considered one of the best p4p at the moment and he has a lot of casual fans. 2. Plant is a White American people dont expect that someone like plant could actually be a great fighter.
