I actually like Caleb Plant a lot and agree that he's improving.

But in boxing experience fighting at the highest level can't be faked or bought or installed in the mind by a trainer. It has to be earned the hard way. That will be the difference in the fight in my opinion, with Plant losing but going on to be better for it.

I fail too see why its sooo rediculous to say Canelos head movement/defense is the best in the game right now (for a non lara-esque fighter especially,as Laras defense doesn't matter considering his shtty offense)

I think he gets the same 'Carnelo' treatment. I don't think Plant is any slicker, with hands or feet, than BJS. He doesn't punch any harder really. He is orthodox instead of lefty. Legit or not Canelo is punching too strong right now. Plant will either get stopped ala BJS or battered, like Smith, but probably not as bad.

You know, if Plant's 12 round durability can stay intact, and he avoids the ropes, I think he'll win also (on fans scorecards). Lara is better, but he can let his back be pushed on the ropes too much. Plant also spends time on the ropes occasionally, but he's more from the Mayweather school where he's setting traps there and countering. I don't think that's wise in this fight as his defense isn't as good as Floyd's and Canelo hits too hard at 168lbs.

,he doesn't have a right hand whatsoever to save his life(the 1 punch necessary to have a chance v current Canelo imo)hes not capable of going toe to toe v Canelo either, because his left hand will get neutralised & taken away from Plants arsenal, by Canelos shoulder shots early on that will crush his 1 good punch/left shoulder/tricep that would've given him a chance;

& Plant doesn't have the chin to be able to stand up to the constant pot shot counter left hook combos,he looked very flustered by lesser fighters before,his neck is not thick enough to withstand the accumulation of high accuracy counters.
