give it some time then and we'll see.

Haney is younger than Shakur. They will run into each other eventually.
    I guess we will.

I'd bet the bank Shakur shuts him out.

I think he's very talented just leaving a lot in the gym, making weight. I suspect he will be a different beast at 140 though for me he is the best at 135 behind Tank who I'd certainly favour
What do you base that on? Who's he beaten? He's beat what, 2 fighters in the top 10? One was Linares who hadn't had a legitimate win in 2 years.

You honestly think he stands a chance against Lomachenko?

He obviously has some pretty good skills but I just I don’t see this future pound for pound star that they are trying to market him as.

Also people saying he might be better at 140, I’m not sure. He’s lucky Diaz was a featherweight with average power because the amount of clean shots he got caught with would’ve put him on his back against a solid 140 fighter

The Floyd comparisons are laughable. A young Mayweather was 10x the fighter Haney is.
        Perfect t analysis.

He might just be too big for Lomachenko, like he was for Diaz.

Teofimo Lopez would've walked through Haney like a cheap screen door though, and so would Tank. No chin.

And I still have Kambosos stopping Haney, despite his lack of power. I think he's big enough and throws enough punches to simply overwhelm Haney.

I just find that incredibly unlikely.

Lomachenko beats him 10 times out of 10.

On pure skill I'm inclined to agree. But Diaz looked so tiny in there against Haney, and Lomachenko is about the same size and not getting any younger. If Loma blows away Commey next week I'd be more confident about him against Haney.

              • I think Haney won about 6 or 7 national titles as an amateur in the States.
Also the guy he beat last night is a pretty good fighter.
Finally, Devin's just turned 23, I'd say he's pretty special (but that's just me).

Tank clearly takes some cues from Mayweather. Even his coach says so. But mainly, Tank is most similar to Aaron Pryor. Again, his own coach drilled him to fight like Pryor from youths.

Haney to me isn't like Mayweather at all. He's like a James Toney without the natural ability to me.

Shakur emulates Pretty Boy Floyd all the way.
It just seems every young black fighter is the “new Mayweather.” Broner, Tank, Haney, Shakur and there’ll be more to come. Just let these young guys calve their own paths.

Haney is absolutely NOTHING like James Toney.

FFS man, Haney doesn’t even have an inside game, he’s a long-mid range fighter. That’s your worst take yet.

                    Same here…

                    Absolutely mental comparison.

                    • Disagree, Haney is a great body puncher especially his "Str8 Right hand to the Gut".

Not as slick as advertised but definitely tougher than most give him credit for.
