I think we tend to forget he is still just a kid, he's 23 and I think he will be best served at 140 where it'll help increase his durability, stamina, power.

I think he's very talented just leaving a lot in the gym, making weight. I suspect he will be a different beast at 140 though for me he is the best at 135 behind Tank who I'd certainly favour

How is getting dropped by someone with a 66% KO ratio(Campbell) worse than getting dropped by someone with a 50% KO ratio (Kambosos)? If Garcia is a weak chinny guy then Teofimo is worse. I mean after the knockdown, Garcia came back and dominated Campbell thoroughly before KOing him. Teo got his ass whipped and his face mangled for 10 rounds by a light punching Kambosos.

If Garcia isn't beating Haney, neither is Teo.

This is the thing I don't like with Haney. He thinks he is better than he is and because of it, isn't making himself a better boxer.

        He's a VERY raw talent.

The natural gifts are there but he's not refined and nobody is taking the time to refine him while he is still young.

The man loads up on ALL his power punches. I'm talking, hand way behind his shoulder, wind up, throwing a MLB pitch. Kind of punch.

But he clearly has gifts. Hand speed? Check. Power? Check. Body type? Check. Reflexes? Check.

Head to head. I would say Haney has more natural attributes than Shakur Stevenson. However, Shakur is clearly more refined skill than Haney on the other hand.

That's how much untapped talent Haney has but because he's not refined, he doesn't seem like someone who is going to go p4p top 5 type boxer.

He obviously needs work but his attributes , speed and athleticism give him a chance to be really good.
Wait a minute, I thought 22-23 was a boxer's absolute peak. That they're in their prime. Now that Haney looks ordinary chinny with nothing spectacular about him, it's "he yung doe" from you people.

            “Power? Check.”

            C’mon man…

Shakur is far more skilled technically, Haney ate more clean shots last night than Shakur has taken in his entire career.

I don’t see anything that great in him.

He obviously has some pretty good skills but I just I don’t see this future pound for pound star that they are trying to market him as.

Also people saying he might be better at 140, I’m not sure. He’s lucky Diaz was a featherweight with average power because the amount of clean shots he got caught with would’ve put him on his back against a solid 140 fighter

The Floyd comparisons are laughable. A young Mayweather was 10x the fighter Haney is.

                      Completely agree…

Imagine what PBF would do to Haney. It would be like Mayweather vs Ndou.
