there really isnt anything special about him.

he reminds me of James Toney but without the natural ability.

i dont know if he cant become really good or p4p top 5 type of boxer but he has a long way to go.
He doesn’t have any attributes that are that impressive. He has some good attributes, I’m not trying to say he’s a bad fighter or anything but there is absolutely nothing special about Devin Haney and his last few fights have proven that.
real raw real raw likes this.

Garcia is really the only fight for him that interests me until I see something more out of him. I can’t pick a winner out of those two. Ryan is fast and can crack but his defense is leaky.

Sure you are. You wouldn't talk about him as much as you do if you didn't feel that way. Nobody has to like any fighter but if you do no point in not just saying it.

Where have I said he’s a bad fighter? I just don’t think there’s anything special about him- cause there isn’t. I don’t particularly like Haney but that’s irrelevant to his ability as a fighter, I can’t stand Ryan Garcia but I’ll admit that kid has special talent, Haney doesn’t and his performances prove that.

You’ve got Eddie Hearn and even Haney himself claiming he’s the heir to the Mayweather throne, I’m just pointing out he’s shown absolutely nothing to suggest these claims are legitimate.

at 22 yrs, you can tell 100% how special a fighter is.
and power is one of the most important elements of success.

Like many fighters who try and fight with the same style as Mayweather is there is only one Mayweather, it’s an impossible task to emulate that style.
What do you think. Doesnt Haney remind you of poor mans Michael Nunn with less boxing skill but quicker punches. Plus both are chinny.

To me seeing him fights he gives off a poor mans Michael Nunn vibe.

I think he's actually one the best pure boxers out there and I'd say he is at 135. Not saying he'd beat everybody there but I really like his skillet. I'm just pointing out your personal dislike for him, which is fine, and should have been my point instead. Like me with my stuff about Golovkin. Dude's career sucks and at this point I don't he cares that it does. Got into it with aboutfkntime and chollo vista about him quite a few times. Never should have.

I completely disagree tbh man, I just really don’t see it. Good jab and reflexes but I don’t think he’s all that accurate with his punches and I don’t think his defence is great either. There’s no way he’s a better pure boxer than Teofimo IMO. The way Teofimo outboxed Loma was so impressive, especially when you consider how technically skilled Loma is.

I’ll agree to disagree with you on his ability but I genuinely just don’t see anything special in Haney and that’s irrespective of whether I like him or not. There’s loads of fighters I dislike but I’ll always give props when due.

His form, even round by round in his fights, is very inconsistent.
