Get real. There is no way Pac earns the same amount from fighting any other opponent (since Mayweather is unavailable) and you know this. I don't blame him for trying to earn as much money as possible and that, my friend, is Cotto's Ace in the pocket. Cotto will be fighting for two and half more years (that is what he has stated numerous times) and can keep earning money fight after fight precisely because his fights are exciting and he has a large fan base. Pac's clock is running out. As I stated in a previous post, if Pac walks away (and it will be him not Cotto) he has to face Mosley for less money. Berto brings nothing else to the table except a title and that means it will attract the same people that would watch the Cotto fight anyways minus Cotto's fans.

My prediction is that one way or another Pac will cave, most probably by offering a larger percentage of PPV sales or something of the like for Cotto to acquiesce to put the belt. Either that, or Cotto vacates and the WBO allows Pac the right to gain the belt if he wins. Cotto will not back down believe me.

Doesn’t make any difference, Cotto will KO Pacquiao in 6 rounds with belt or not belt in the line. People seen to be not to have honor in which they talk about it. If you have a contract which stipulates 145 pounds as a catch weight and no title involve, then that’s what you agree; now people start changing thing around with no respect as a real gentlemen. I'd bet the little I have (i just started) but the problem is that the result might be subjective (he caved! he did not cave!) or might not come to light in its entirety. But tell me, who will Pac fight if he dares walk away?

manny don't have to fyt anybody...he can rest on his laurels!!

Damn son, why you so mad? Manny is on some bull**** bottom line.
I'm not a big fan of Cotto but even I can see that their trying to pimp
him. I negotiate and deal with contracts with companies and people
and I know for a fact that people will try to get as much as possible
without giving up much to the other party and it's not right and Cotto
is doing what he is supposed to be doing and that's taking a stand.
Just because you don't see nothing wrong with it don't mean everyone
else will see the same. This fight started out as a non title fight and
Cotto agreed to the %, weight and was/is ready to go, NOW they want
the title and Cotto is like NO lets do it at 147! Cotto should have some
leverage/say so too...... Right? It's business.

OK, the "Great Manny Pacquiao" ****s on every fighters resume
right now....... sure! Cotto fought more dangerous guys at 147
than Manny fought in his last 3 fights. PLUS, Manny two biggest
commercial wins come from beating two guys Floyd Mayweather
Jr beat. Indeed Manny is one hell of a fighter but he shouldn't
be trying to pimp Cotto like Cotto ain't done nothing in the sport.
The difference between Manny and Cotto is the mainstream appeal.
How many people come to Manny's fights from his country to
support him every time he fights in Vegas? How many times
has Cotto fought and had the Garden rocking with the Boricua's
supporting him? Both are doing a lot of good things by repping

Kid, if Pacquiao decided to drop Cotto and negotiate a fight with SSM most probably he'll earn as much as he's getting from fighting Cotto. He'll have a bigger slice of the purse and PPV compared with the Cotto bout (65%-35%).

As you already know, most contenders in the LWW and WW divisions are calling or I might say begging for a chance to fight Pacquiao. Pacquiao as the #1 P4P fighter has the option of choosing the best available fighter that can offer the biggest monetary value to him. Unfortunately, Cotto is not there yet and his best option right know is a fight with Pacquiao. Actually, it's the only option Cotto has to achieve the biggest purse of his professonal career.
