Quartey almost beat DLH, Clottey beats prime DLH by UD if he doesn't get KD, JMM is better but at this stage of his career and in 147 Clottey kills JMM.

Be serious now. If Pac walks away you know Cotto will mostly likely fight Berto while Mosley and Pac try to reach an agreement - which only seems easy to make b/c the two sides aren't even talking to each other: Once negotiations start it will become just as problematic as these, if not more so. That's just Pac's handler's M.O.

And Cotto only has two years left in his career so you know its all big money winners from now on. And please don't refer to organization rankings, they are a total joke in every sense of the word.

More importantly, you know that by facetiously disparaging Cotto's solid career you are undermining the value of Pac's possible victory right? That's the problem with many Pac fans, everybody is garbage except Pac and to have a conversation is to reduce oneself to personal attacks. Why don't Pac's fans live up to the fighter's example and show some respect.

PS: And btw, that IBF title is not vacant. It is now held by Hlatshwayo. Just making that correction.

let's say pac wins the title at the 145lb limit. will he keep it or give it up? i believe he would give it up because all his title defenses would have to be at 145lbs. I don't think this would fly to well with his challengers --- but money talks and if enough money is thrown down the challengers would fight at that weight. This would create a quasi new weight division --- specifically for pac.

Now with that said, pac giving up the title, Cotto could then fight for the vacant title and be champion again fighting at 147lbs. cotto would not like this situation understandingly, but that's what it may come down to. i am looking forward to a great fight l

Of course he's going to have to pay a fee if his title is up for it, I can't see why he's making such a big deal out of it. He's paid fees before.

Having said that, the WBO are greedy bastards, and if Cotto is not defending his title, per the contract he is citing, then they shouldn't be trying to make him pay anything.

What I find somewhat interesting, is that Cotto mentions a "rough draft" of contract and not a "final" version.

I also don't see why Cotto is making a big fuss if Arum indeed will cover those fees.
I think he should put his belt on the line. Pacquiao will be his biggest pay day and beating him will open more doors for him in terms of future big fights, like the winner of Floyd vs. Marquez.
And even if does end up losing the fight, it's not like he won't get a shot at another title. Mosley, Berto are still there at welterweight for him.
Clearly, you arent comprehending what is going on.

Stick to your guns Cotto! If Paquiao wants to fight for the title then you should be able to come in at 147 were your most comfortable.

I guess when he fought Mosley and Clottey it doesn't count

Funny that you give your opinion on the Clottey fight. In my opinion Pac lost the first fight against JMM
