  • Is everyone here Crazy

Of course Pac won't stand a chance against Cotto or any other elite natural Welter. Manny is human. He beat an old dehydrated De La Hoya at Welter and Hatton (Welter Jr.) was never a good fighter. Who the hell did Hatton beat? Tsyu was like 35 and was over the hill. Catillo was a shot fighter by the time Hatton beat Castillo (Castillo was in financial distress at the time and I would not be suprised if he took a dive for some cash). There is no way Manny could survive 12 rounds with the likes of Cotto, Mosley, Margarito, Angulo. Yeah Manny has power but come on man. Remember how hard Cotto hit Margarito? Do you really think Manny's punches would do much against a guy like that?

If Pacquiao's optimum "real" wegiht is about 147-148...then why would he weigh in offically at 138 for a 140lb fight and 142 for a 147lb fight???

What advantages would Pacquiao have to gain by being well under the weight limit officially when he could have weighed in at 140 and 147??

Could it be because they're actually that much smaller than someone like lets say floyd??
Im putting too much emphasis on fight night weight ,,,, lol ,,,, like it doesnt matter what a ridiculas statement you make ,,,, isnt that the size a fighter is when he actually fights ,,, your not very smart mate because ignore the obvious , we look at a fight and judge them on the night but whats important to you is 30hrs before , you have never had to make weight you have never trained anything to make weight thats why you dont know .

Its easy to be a little light like 2 pd for Pac at weigh-in at 140 , simply because the toning down of workload for peaking the the last week will alter fluid level in his body and the empty internals over the last last 12 hrs before weigh-in all must fall together , and will ,,, thing is he weighs 147 ish on the night and so does Floyd and JMM weighs a little less at 144 .

They are not that much smaller than Floyd , for *** sake if they were Floyd would out weigh them by 10to16 pounds on the night just like Cotto Williams Mosley or Margo would , how can you not see that its as clear as a bell ,,,, if you think I have too much emphasis on fight night weight ,,,, what does the fight night weight mean to you , the size they are not lol , cant wait for this Einstein answer

Enough of the BS. Pacquiao would kill Cotto, thats why Arum wants to do it. He knows Cotto just comes straight foward and will take punches on the dome. PPL can say Pac cant take Cottos punches and thats rpobably true. but the thing is, is that Cotto was getting hit with 3 uppercuts in a row against the slowest WW in the last 20 YEARS!!! Pacquiao would slice and dice that ass up. even Roach knows, thats why screw that fight, the winner of Mayweather-Marquez is a way better fight. so what if Pacquiao beat Cotto what does that mean??? He beat a great WW??? NAH, Cotto is good but hes not even the man at 147.

Did I ,,, Why dont you ask Scully who you claim knows all about you explain whats involved in making weight , ask him how the 30hrs is manipulated to get a fighter into a lower weight class and allows him to blow back up to his best fighting weight , effectively gaining an advantage over his opponent , because it painfully obvious that you dont know .

              • Both Mayweather and Marquez do more for Pac's legacy than Cotto. Cotto still needs to beat Clottey and handle unfinished business with Mosley which I don't think he's capable of doing the latter.

I believe that is the plan. Roach said he wanted only 2 more fights for Pacquiao before he would retire. Marquez and Mayweather are the two biggest fights out there for him. One to answer who is the better P4P vs Floyd, and the other is to answer who is the better of the two in the Marquez trilogy. If Pacquiao were to win both in convincing fashion(which I don't believe will happen, either one presents the perfect style to beat Manny in a boxer-counterpunching style) then he could retire having truly accomplished everything he could in his career.

what unfinished business Cotto has with Mosley ??? it was a close but UD all the way.

There is no unfinishe bizz. Just cuz mosley beat the man to beat Cotto doesnt mean that Cotto's WIN over mosley means nothing.

That's a typical comment from somebody who's pro-Cotto. The reason why a rematch needs to happen is because there was no clear-cut winner in the first fight and Mosley has rejuvinated his career by destroying Margarito who has Cotto's number plaster or no plaster. The rematch would also crown a linear welterweight champion. That would give someone like Pac or Mayweather more incentive in fighting Cotto if he would beat Mosley in a rematch.
