WTF. Why is everyone overlooking JMM abilities. Everyone is so obsessed with the Pac-Floyd fight. Did everyone forget how JMM is the only one to have lasted the full 24 rounds with Pac. Not mention the beating JMM gave to Manny their first fight? In my opinion JMM took the second fight as well. JMM is not an ordinary fighter, Manny and Roach now that. Come July 18th so will Floyd. By the way Floyd isn't that great a fighter especially after the long lay off. Floyd needs to budge. He has no claim, no right, and no authority to the bigger slice from the best fighter in the sport right now; which is Pacquaio.

Floyd doesn't sell. Nobody buys a Mayweather fight to watch him. They buy the fight to watch his opponent hopefully kick his arse. Pacquaio will do it with relative ease, so they'll get what they want. Then you will see no one buy another Mayweather fight again.

That is, if he gets passed JMM first.

He fought De La Hoya at 154 because De La Hoya was a shot piece of trash. Oh yeah, and Mayweather still almost lost to him. Pacquaio jumped up a hell of a lot more to fight De La Hoya (from his native weight) and flat-out embarassed him. He also didn't force Ricky Hatton to move up, either.

Right now, and in the future when people look back on this, Manny Pacquaio's legacy is 10x better than Floyd Mayweather's. His resume is bigger, better, and full of far more quality HOF's. It's about fighting the best around you, no matter what. Not a "0" in the loss column just because you avoid the best at 147.

fact is, just cuz you move up in weight, doesn't add to your legacy. it also depends on WHO you fight....i could care less about what titles you held, if you didn't beat the real champ to get the title. furthermore, i'm not impressed with pacman, let's be real, the last two guys he beat, which is giving him this newfound fame and fortune and recognition, have already been soundly beaten BEFORE they fought manny pacquiao.

Roach knows that a fight with Cotto now is very dangerous for paquiao. the chances that paquiao lose the fight are very high, and that is no good for mannys career at this time, is a blow out. so is better to go with somebody that Roach knows paquiao will win by SD, that is Mayweather or Marquez.
The equation is as follow:
Cotto beat Josua and marquez Floyd then paquiao can go either way, paquiao- marquez or Cotto. seems to me is more money involve in the winner of Marquez- Floyd. if floyd lose, the the triology marquez- paquiao is on, the only problem is that if floyd win over Marquez, Mayweather wants more money, and been said already that will never happen, according to Bob arum. that leave the window open for Cotto- Paquiao., which i beleive will happen sooner or later, paquiao will not retire thrust me, to much money involve. to retire now, and manny knows that.
