    A. The point I am trying to make is that PBF ACTUALLY DID move up in weight to fight DLH. That gave DLH an advantage. IF Marquez moves up it WILL GIVE PBF and adavantage(obviously as we saw after the Pac fight). Regardless of what any fans say is his best weight, it will give him an advantage over Marquez....Can you argue that it wont? I have clearly stated I think the fight could and should be at 140. But that is irrevelant to the point I made.

So your telling me Marquez didnt call out Floyd because he wants Pac's(or Floyds) P4P spot? Since Pac wont fight him again he wants to prove hes better than Pac by fighting the only guy everyone rates higher than him. So sure, hes not chasing Oscars belt you got me there, but I would say he actually has better motivation and is a man for stepping up if this happens.

I agree it was a weird move by Collazo. And where does Collazo go from here? He's at a career dead end.

Its his legacy we question because floyd himself blows it out of porportion, not the fact that he has something to prove, he doesnt. And only someone whos only been around the sport the last couple of years would think otherwise, which is the case with most of the people in this thread with the exception of a few.
Exactly, people **** on Floyd and expect so much more from him because he runs his mouth so much. I respect him because HE dictates what hes going to do(with the exception of the DLH fight) and doesnt play "puppet" to his critics.

Yes I got that, but my point was the De La Hoya couldn't have moved down to 147 then nearly as easily as Floyd could move down to 140 now. Plus the advantage is greater when JMM is being asked to move up 2 divisions.

My point is that he could get that P4P kudos regardless of whether the fight happens at 140 or 147 or catchweight. Floyd couldn't have got Oscar's belt at any weight other than 154.

Floyd has bent over backwards for so many people his whole career, fighting in hostile crowds, giving into guys like oscars demands, being thrown into the hornets nest early into his career. If floyd wants to call the shots against a guy whos status is lower than his, then so be it. Your just going to have to accept that.

              • Im rootin for JMM but if Floyd wins he should fight Manny at whatever weight he fought JMM.

                  • Floyd willing to go 145 whats 1 more pound. Marquez willing to fight at 144. it is still all to PBf advantage. Make it happen.

Dave your cherry-picking. An advantage is an advantage.

"as easily" come on your better than that.

Floyd wants the advantage. Thats the point.
