  • Mayweather vs. Marquez on July 18 - Two Pounds Apart?

    The negotiations for Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Juan Manuel Marquez are still ongoing, and the issue of weight, not money, continues to be the biggest issue. The date of July 18 is reserved on HBO pay-per-view, and I'm sure a Las Vegas venue is already locked in. Mayweather wants the fight to be closer to 147 and Marquez, who is currently the WBA/WBO champion at 135-pounds, wants the fight closer to 140. [details]

            I think Marquez should push for 142 but with the money he will make for this fight he will probably take it at 144.

                That`s it, JMM. Create your own legacy, don`t rely on Pac too much. Let them chase you, especially if by any chance you win against PBF. The final showdown is in the making. JMM vs. PBF is make or break. A true fighter. If JMM beats Floyd, Pac/JMM3 will be the fight of the century. It will definitely happen.

                  This makes floyd look like a *****. I dont care if it's a tune up or not. Fight a WW or Jr. WW. not a feather/light weight. At least fight a top 10 WW, but he has to pick on the smallest one out of *Pacquaio, cotto, mosley, williams, etc.*

                  FLOYD=BIGGEST ***** EVER
