And DLH was strongly criticised, including by many of his own fans, for taking the Pac fight, whereas your post is the closest I've seen to a criticism by a Floyd fan of the fact that he's trying to make the fight at 147, and even you don't go as far as actually criticising him.
The irony is that at 140, it would be considered a legacy fight for Floyd, because 140 is reasonably close to JMM's best weight, and JMM is a great fighter. So it's in his own interests, legacy-wise, to make the fight at 140. He's missing a trick here, and his fans (those who aren't worshippers) should be criticising him, IMO, and they aren't.
As fans of boxing we get caught up in the sporting aspect because we dont know the ins and outs and many times tend to overlook the business side. Everyone is quick to point fingers and call people bitches when a fight doesnt happen.
It is unfortunate that PBF seems to care more about the business side....but I cant say its not a smart move.
I would like to point out that there was not a huge backlash when PBF had to move up to 154 to fight Oscar. Obviously that was not his "peak weight". Not exactly the same situation but fairly similar.

So if by "the man" you mean "the recognised champion", he was, but if by "the man", you mean "generally recognised as the best Welterweight out there", then no, the jury was still out. And his subsequent string of losses against every leading Welterweight he's faced has shown that he was not the best Welterweight out there. He was a genuine lineal champion, but was only looking after the belt, he didn't really own it. A bit like Michael Spinks, when he was the lineal Heavyweight champion, but not the best Heavyweight out there.
Having said that, Mayweather's win over Judah was a very good win, and one of Judah's better performances; but all of the current top 4 Welters >>> Judah.
This is absolute bull****, judah was THE MAN at 147 and nobody in ****ing 2005 was saying anything otherwise, and it wasnt just because he won the lineal title, its because he was the clearfront runner of the division. i was here in 05, i can tell you right now the most anticipated fight for Judah was mayweather when hatton basically declined any action against mayweather. Stop reshaping history to fit your agenda. it wasnt until the baldomir loss that any of that status was questioned.

That created major problems since Collazo was demanding more money for the rematch. The only way Collazo would get more money is if Berto gave up some of his own - and Berto wasn't going to make less for the rematch than he did for the first fight.
have took it and brought it to Andre Berto this time and beat him.
Would have been worth more down the road.

I hope JMM beats Mayweather, that would screw Pac out of a ridiculous payday, and probably move JMM into the #1 P4P spot.
