I'm not cherry picking at all, because I'm talking about stacking the cards so as to make it less competitive (at least in theory) than it should be. Oscar stacked the cards a little bit over the ring size, the gloves, and a lot over the share of the purse, but he was not stacking the cards over the weight. No one was claiming that he was a natural Welterweight or that he could easily move down if he wanted to. And even if he had been a natural Welterweight, Floyd would have wanted the fight to be at 154, in order to be able to get his belt, so it wasn't a case of Oscar trying to force Floyd to fight at a higher weight than he felt able to.

Like I said before he was stacking the cards in his favor. Just like PBF is. How is irrelevant. One is not better or more acceptable than the other. Trying to point out the lesser of the two IS cherry-picking.

Are we playing the if game too now?

Floyd wasnt chasing Oscars belt he wanted the money that comes with facing Oscar. The belt was bonus. He was man enough to fight Oscar AT OSCARS WEIGHT. Dont try and take it away from him.

And chicken his way out of this fight. I ain't too optimistic about this one.

I agree with your post , on the front line its dog eat dog and their management team all try to swing whatever they can their way before they say lets go , in the really big fights it would be more complicated than people think , a lot of people with huge money at stake to all be made happy , in the end if a fighter excepts the terms then that tells me they believe they can win under those terms , and what inside info do we have to doubt them .

              • I am a JMM fan, I think he is the smartest fighter in boxing today. Unfortunately, PBF is way too big for him, even if they do meet somewhere in the middle. I highly doubt that JMM can handle the power of PBF.

Also, PBF is a punk for taking this fight and not fighting a real threat. This is ridiculous.

Exactly... Mayweather punishes him easily.. Too much speed and power = easy win.

Thats funny...JMM doesnt stand a chance. Plus FM has been hit by bigger punchers so Im pretty sure JMM punches wont keep Floyd off his a$$..
