both bros i can see in the ATG class. i hardly stop laughing when people think 6'1" heavies can be a bigger problem to them than guys like ll.

reality has to set in for most of these, "good old days" fans.

a pissed off vitali i would place my money on vs anyone. a properly prepared and mentally ready wladimir would give anyone trouble imo.

all u guys have to remember, all u have are opinions. and most of u dont box of fight. just remember that.

so stop ur bull**** hard trash talking like u are in a fighters camp or something.

Yes very true. You need to come from a boxing family i guess or have been inspired by a great boxer. I still think the next american great heavy will come along alrite, its just a matter of when not if imo. The pressure will grow as time goes by with a legit heavy challenger and it will come, just hope im alive to see it

Serious question Poet. I know you know your stuff, but try a little comparison to Larry Holmes reign. Surely the division that time is about as poor as it is today.

        That aint too long ago.

You reveal what your motive is for disliking the Klitschkos: they are not black and American, unlike Chambers.

Chambers is hardly an exciting fighter, but still you like him better than Wlad and Vitali.

But in boxing, hype and trash talk win the day. And nobody can trash talk quite like Haye.
Haye is basically coming out of heavyweight exactly in the same position as Holyfield was. Why would there be an issue with that comparison? Because we already know what Holyfield went on to do? Yes, precisely.

The thing is that nobody knows what Haye is capable of at this time. He may go on to great things. We will just have to wait and see. Povetkin has really not done too much himself either and it all about who is better, not who deserves it more. Wlad was going to beat him down in December anyways until he got hurt. He will still get hit chance to lose too if that concerns anybody.

Nice ryme at the end too. lol

              I'm hopeful as well.

But if you're an inner city kid (most great fighters come from poor backgrounds, rich guys don't excel at boxing ), and you got a basketball court at the park that you can play at everyday and get good at for free.

Would you rather do that, or pay money every month to put yourself through hell in the boxing gym in the hopes that you might be that 1 in a million kid who has what it takes to be World Champion?

As you said, you've gotta love it, or be exposed to it early.

But no matter what they do or who they beat, the Klitschkos will never be considered all-time greats because of their skin is the wrong color and because they come from the wrong country.

Come on man, be real. Rocky Marciano is an ATG (White), Lennox Lewis is an ATG (European). If they are ATGs to you, then fine, it's your opinion. But don't blame everything on race, it's childish.

That same Ross 'The Boss' Purrity dropped prime Tommy Morrisson twice and was a very durable fighter. I bet you also don't even know that Wlad thoroughly dominated him until he gassed out because you didn't care enough to even research it. Personally I couldn't care less about your one sided & bias opinion but for the sake of the thread, I'll stick up for objectiveness again.
First off Morrison was a joke too: Rewatch his fight with Mercer for some funny shvte. By the way, bias is spreading your ass cheeks and and making a big O out of your mouth for every Soviet fighter that comes down the pike. Cut out the Slavic nationalism and maybe someday someone will actually take you seriously when you use the word "bias".

Don't answer, it's a trick question.
In their primes McCall and Rahman would be wearing belts in this suckass era. Both were better fighters than anyone Wlad has fought, not to mention better fighters than any Vitali has fought not named Lennox.

I really don't care if your from Dallas or Amarillo. If you act like a Soviet nuthugger than you ARE a Soviet nuthugger. Either that or I'm totally wrong and you're a white-supremacist skin-head that will suck off any WHITE fighter that comes down the pike. Either way you look like an *******.

You don't like the Klitschkos because they are from a former Soviet republic.

You're an old man I see, so you lived through the cold war era. Hanging on to those old cold war attitudes doesn't help you fit into the modern world.

I like Eddie because he's a down to earth guy, who always admits his flaws (as evident in the post fight interview after beating Peter), has nothing bad to say about anybody, and he's from my hometown.

I always cheer for my hometown boys.
