If you can't work it out, forget it. Try using your brain.

He was weight drained, that's a fact, but it doesn't give Oscar an excuse, because it was his own fault.

If you really think that beating that version of De La Hoya proves he could beat the elite Welterweights then you really know nothing about boxing.

Pac fought brilliantly in that fight, and deserves full credit for how he fought. De La Hoya has no excuse for the fact he lost. But in terms of being able to judge from that fight how Pac would do against any other top fighter at that weight, you have to take into account De La Hoya's condition in that fight, and your refusal to do so is just silly.

Depends whether you're trying to judge from that fight how he'd do against other top Welterweights. In that context the statement you made tells you nothing useful.

i agree, but a b or c level fighter could have beaten oscar on points that night....and hatton stops him on his stool as well

            • Hatton has a point, I mean Ricky himself could have spanked Oscar that night. lol I mean theres a reason why Oscar is contemplating retirement right now..

As for this fight, I'll be goin for Hatton lol. I'd like to see him win this, and he's more then capable of winning it. Hatton came out strong in the Mayweather fight, real strong. He just got soo gassed come the second half of the fight that a simple breeze on his chin would have knocked him out. I think that kind of fatigue is due to that ridiculous training exercise he would do where he beats up his trainer in that body padding at full speed for too long. That **** is just a waist of energy and strength.

But If Hatton can conserve his energy and brawl smart and not get overwhelmed and over anxious when Paq lands, Hatton can probably dig deep enough to **** Paq out. But if Paq starts landing, with the crowd going "ohhh" every time he lands, aslong as Hatton stays composed and finds his shots during all that, he'll be alright. Cause one thing Paq hasn't had to deal with outside of fighting Marquez at 130, is a consistant amount of real punches. lol Paq's just an exteremely glorified bum-killer. Aslong as Hatton stays composed, he can dish out some of the best shots Paq has had to deal with since fighting Marquez.

              • Totally agree, De la Hoya was really off that night and has been for a while, Roach said it himself after the Mayweather fight as his trainer he saw that he couldn´t pull the trigger anymore.

Although Pacquiao did extremely well I don´t think he is that good, he even made Mayweather look really bad. I hope he can fight Mayweather...

                    • one boxing scribe commented, manny’s movements of hands and foot is a “geometrical nightmare” to his opponent. David Diaz said: “it’s like Freddie is there hitting me as well.” Freedie is not a braggart when he said: Manny has carried his power fighting at 145lbs. One poster in another board said: manny’s fist are like razors it cuts his opponents very easily. Look at davidd and oscar after the fyt. I just hope ricky will not get cut early so he can give a good account of himself…..this I doubt.
