Imagine this scenario; despite the cut Barrera is totally dominant (as many said he would be) for the first three rounds and a KO win looks inevitable. The fight is then stopped by the referee on the doctors advice in the fourth, as a NC.

Question. Who would be saying the fight should have been stopped in the first or second, and who would be whining about the fight being stopped by a 'homer' to give Khan a NC when Barrera was clearly fit to continue and would have KO'd him?

The obvious answer shows what a bunch of hypocritical morons the hater contingent actually are.

Well in that case, the cut wouldn't have been affecting Barrera as he is winning, and so to stop the fight would be plain ******.

The reality is, the cut was horrendous and MAB couldn't fight because of it, making it a no contest, hence it should have been treated as such.

His heart made him continue, but it probably should have been stopped in the 1st or 2nd to be fair.

It should have been up to the doctor, but of course since we''re in england they are going to do anything to win. This is so ****ty, the only way Khan could get a win was with the help of everyone else, if the fight would've been stopped before the 4 round it would have been a NC, but of course the doctor was going to push all the way to the 5 round that way Little Kunt can get his win. Enough with Kunt proved everyone wrong, he beat a man that had one eye WOW huge accomplishment LOL

So you are saying that a fight should only ever be stopped for a cut (from accidental head contact), regardless of medical advice, if the cut fighter happens to be losing?! Isn't that just a tad unfair on the other guy?

I think if it makes it a no contest, then it should be treated that way, and last night the cut was so bad that it made Barrera completely handicapped.

this is no excuse only khan nuthuggers would say this is an excuse, you could see with your own eyes he was blinded by blood, why deny he was, why wait till the fith to stop it, its up to the doc and the ref to stop the fight if the fighters vision is effected by blood dripping into the eye and this is a rule, its not upto the boxer, its a fact that khan didnt win this fight, it simply got stoped on cuts, by rights it should be a no contest, i tell you if it had been khan with the cut it would have been stopped instantly, come on you all no that is the case, Khan has proved nothing except he now has a defense which he should have had in the first place, we already knew he was fast but we now no his punches dont hurt.

No because the fight was alwasy going to be stopped regardless of how well Barrera was doing because its a rule that the ref must stop the fight if the affected fighters vision is affected by blood running into the eye, so regardless of how well he was doing from round 1 on too round 5 the cut was the same the situation had not changed, it was always going to be stopped on cuts.

Khan looked pretty good and I'm fairly sure would have won anyway, but fact is this particular fight should have been a no contest.
