But then again, notice how we're talking about just one win? And that win trumps any on Joe's resume.

    PHP Code:
I haven't made a top 100 list but Hops is top 50, Joe is top 100 on mine
, perhaps less. While his consistency cannot be denied, could you possibly rank him higher when his best win could possibly be over Mikkel Kessler?
But I never compared it to Lacy, not in that sense. I specifically said that if you took out all the INTANGIBLES it would look similar.

You have Hops top 50 and Joe top 100 - That's perfectly reasonable. I just go mad when I see top 100 Lists featuring guys who are lucky to be even mentioned and Joe doesn't get a look in.

No, I could never rank Joe higher, but I could debate and champion his top 90-100 place which I feel is well deserved.

I don't think his style changed at all. He's just old and, thus, can't deliver the same output he used to. But his mind is still sharp, his defense is still top notch and his game plan is always A+.

Jones didn't fine-tune those skills because he never had to. And by the time he had too...he was too old to learn.

The intangibles are there for a reason. Everything is there for a reason. It's unfair to say, well if you pretend that "such and such" wasn't the case then it's similar. Umm...ok.

Calzaghe lost to Reid. Robin beat his ass. Eubank was solid, nothing spectactular though.

Reid, Eubank, Kessler, Lacy, Hopkins and Jones are the best names on his record.

Reid - Solid all around fighter, not amazing, but would give anybody hell.

Eubank - Another solid all arounder. Versatile and durable, but not on the elite level either.

          Kessler - Mr.Roboto.

          Lacy - LOL

Hopkins - Legend, Joe's best win.

          Jones - Y'all must've forgot.......I was shot.
          lmaoooooooo

Well, considering you're in a thread, started by ME, called "I wish Joe Blow had done more in his career", then what do YOU think?

LOL, yup. By my strange calculations, one more win over a washed up former champ and he'll be knocking at #1.

              Here comes Mads Larsen.

But Lacy was the same size as Zag. This "P4P" stuff is just air... "P4P" is hypothetical conjecture by boxing journalists. You don't win the P4P title in the ring.

I just have done. CLEARLY. Making glib, fatuous remarks don't change that.

Nah, I wouldn't say he's bigger than Calzaghe, JC walks around not far off 200lbs! These guys are similar in weight, with Calzaghe probably outweighing 'Nard by about 10 Mars bars.
