OK, what I'm saying is the fact that they are ranked highly in P4P terms doesn't mean much. I was using Pac as an example because he's the P4P #1. Yes, it's an exaggeration, but by your way of putting it, a bigger dude beating Pac would be a great win simply because Pac is ranked #1?
We can shorten the gap and replace Calzaghe's name however you see fit. I was just trying to get a point across. My opinion is that Trinidad is a good win, not great. Trinidad was useless when he moved up, his ideal weight was in the lower divisions. Bernard knew this, and took advantage. No harm in that, but I wouldn't shout about it too loudly.
You seem to be pretty hung up on the weight issue. What would you say to Iceman John Scully who said (on these very forums) that Bernard was always a natural light heavy who boiled down to Middleweight? Here's an ex-pro who agrees that 'Nard was a light heavy who boiled down.

I know John Scully. And I respect his opinion. But to quote Bernard Hopkins - when told that Emmanuel Steward felt he was killing himself to get down to weight for Tito - "Well Emmanuel Steward doesn't know Bernard Hopkins, my body or how I train." It's safe to assume that a fighter who spent nearly all his career in one weight class and usually weighed well under the limit - and was usually OUTWEIGHED by his opponents - is a natural in that class. Or no?OK, what I'm saying is the fact that they are ranked highly in P4P terms doesn't mean much. I was using Pac as an example because he's the P4P #1. As for Pacquiao, I think it is a stretch to compare a 30lb leap to...four. And that's in the case of Pavlik. I'm not sure what point you were making there.Comment
