I wish Joe Blow had done more in his career...

... I still think it's a lot better than the average Fat Yank on here likes to make out. I mean, I know he never got his career-defining win over a four foot Mexican or had a thrillogy with Robert Allen, but it was better than people make out.

Even so it'd have been nice to have seen him fight a legit LHW, not a blown up guy like himself and then a 97-year-old Roy Jones for a showcase fight. It would also have been hilarious to have seen him school Moby considering I said from the start that Moby was likeable but two-dimensional but was, naturally, just a "bias brit" for thinking it.

It seems a real shame that his final fight was just a showcase. Of course, the likes of Robin Reid (in his prime) and Eubank weren't cans, but try telling that to the average Fat Yank who doesn't know anything that's not on HBO. I still think there were 6-8 decent names on his ledger, but it could have been so much more.

He's no Danny Williams, that's for sure.

Translation : I was right all along.

It seems a real shame that his final fight was just a showcase. Of course, the likes of Robin Reid (in his prime) and Eubank weren't cans, but try telling that to the average Fat Yank who doesn't know anything that's not on HBO.
Calzaghe lost to Reid. Robin beat his ass. Eubank was solid, nothing spectactular though.

I still think there were 6-8 decent names on his ledger, but it could have been so much more.
Reid, Eubank, Kessler, Lacy, Hopkins and Jones are the best names on his record.

Reid - Solid all around fighter, not amazing, but would give anybody hell.

Eubank - Another solid all arounder. Versatile and durable, but not on the elite level either.

              Kessler - Mr.Roboto.

              Lacy - LOL

Hopkins - Legend, Joe's best win.

              Jones - Y'all must've forgot.......I was shot.

Hopkins was never Blown up. He started as a Light-heavy and boiled down to 160 for his entire Middleweight career.

This makes the fact that his two biggest wins ( Against Welterweights! ) are even more of a joke.

Christ, people overrate this guy's resume.
