    Pac vs Floyd?

They have to fight each other before I can venture an opinion. If Pac has a ***** in his armor it's that he can be hit. Floyd on the other hand is almost perfect. I like Pac's work ethic and strength and nonstop aggression, but I don't know if it would be enough to prevent Floyd from using him for target practise for 12 rounds.

I think today's Pacquiao would eventually wear the feather-fisted Mayweather down and KO him late but I would never bet $$ on this to happen

If Floyd was feather fisted, he wouldn't have knocked out Hatton.

Floyd, nor Pac, isn't going to put a dent in Baldomir as well.

Bigger Fighters tend to be harder to dent.

One of Floyd's problems is his hands so he is cautious when he throws. To much power and you risk injury. When he sits on his punches and lets them go, power comes out.

If he was feather-fisted, he wouldn't have 25 KO's in 39 fights. He is not a devastating puncher, but he was known to have good power at lightweight and I would even say at least for a JrWW.

      Pac's not a Welterweight.

Oscar: SHOT. Talk this over with Freddie. I'm the one who posted that Freddie should keep his mouth shut about what he is saying about Oscar because it will come back to haunt him after the fight. Now, I'm actually glad because at least Freddie was honest. And then Freddie discredited Pac even more when he discussed the weight problem with Oscar after the fight while bringing up examples of other fighters that showed up flat/weigh-drained for the fight.

This wasn't a Prime Oscar at 147...hope you know that...as well as the last time Oscar fought there was about 7 years ago; he moved up for a reason.

keep in mind that freddie talked about oscar being shot when he fought floyd. not the exact phrase but he said "oscar saw openings against floyd but just couldnt pull the trigger"

With a lucky perfect punch.... Mayweather can't carry his power to 140-147.. Pac can not only power but + speed... Mayweather won't add a lot of weight before the fight night cuz thats the only way he can outboxed and outrun his opponents and im talking about speed (Not to knock opponents out but to run his life)...

let's compare pac and floyd's move up in weight class.

pac won lineal title at 112. floyd won his first title in 130
pac moved up 3 weight classes and won a title in 122. floyd moved up to 135 and beat JLC.

This is where pac moved way ahead of floyd in terms of resume.

In pac's first fight at 126 he fought the number 1 ranked and recognized champion not bs sanctioning body. That's like floyd moving up to 140 and fighting the number 1 kostya tsyzu or hatton in his very FIRST FIGHT. In comparison to floyd, who moved up and fought bruseles at 140 and corley. heck he didnt even fight any top fighters. he fought a paper champ arturro gatti.

Now let's compare their next weight class venture.

In floyd's first fight at 147, he fought sharmba mitchell who? he wasnt even ranked at the 147 class. Compare that to pacquiao who went right ahead and fought morales who was ranked # 2 at the time. For floyd to top that his first fight at 147 should have been margarito.

Floyd went on to win a title belt against judah, but we all knew it was bs belt then won the lineal belt against baldomir. Yet he managed to ducked real challenger on that weight class the number 2 and 3 rank margarito and cotto.

Here's how pac handled that transition into his fourth weight class. he rebounded from his loss to em and beat him twice. keep in mind em was STILL rank #2 and 3 when pac beat him. He beat #3 mab at that weight class then went on to beat marquez for the lineal title. who was ranked #2 only because pac was ranked #1.
Pac fought the 1,2,3 basically in his fourth weight class whereas floyd avoided the number 2 and 3.

in their fifth weight class. floyd got a win over oscar de la hoya. it was a blockbuster fight and a great win for floyd. but keep in mind that oscar was barely ranked # 5 by ring magazine at the time they fought.
Pac moved up to his 5th weight class and fought #3 ranked Diaz.
Then moved up weight classes and beat delahoya. an equivalent of that is floyd after the hatton fight moved up to 160 and fought jermain taylor after getting ko'd by pavlik or yet felix sturm or an old winky wright after getting terminated by hopkins.

                in all pac's accomplishment>floyd

He couldn't pull the trigger = past your prime. I said Oscar was past his prime. Not sure he was at "shot" level because he could still **** but missing openings does mean you are past your prime. How much past it depends. Shot means you are finished; no returning; you can't take a punch or throw a punch; you look Old.

I didn't consider Oscar "shot" when Manny signed to fight him. However, the weight-loss did make a past prime fighter show up "flat/drained" for that fight.

Either way, I never counted it much as a Win for Floyd and I don't count it for Pac. Floyd fought the better Oscar because at least he was healthy in weight terms, but at the end of the day; Oscar was not in his prime for either.

Floyd was hurting Hatton prior to the "Check-left-Hook."

Floyd can hurt people his size; it's the big guys he is not going to hurt.

Actually, didn't Diaz say it was speed that was kicking his ass and not his power?

Pac isn't a devastating puncher, but the speed and number of shots mixed with good, not great, power messes you up.

So far, he has carried it up to 135. Fighting a Corpse at 147 doesn't count.

And if Pac could carry his power up to 147 against the Welterweight, he would fight there. He isn't putting a dent in Margarito.
