Roach: We'll Fight Mayweather at Catchweight!!

It's still simple: Pac weighs in at 147 by fight time in his prior fight before Oscar. Floyd shows up around 149....if PBF is the best, he'll meet the demands and win the fight...if he's not, he'll loose...it's pretty simple...

*catchweight is a dogfighting term in which bigger dogs that have problems finding opponents at their true weight can still be matched. The heavy weight division is the perfect example of what "catchweight" is.
So tell me again, why a catch-weight if both fighters are going to just go back up in weight?
Pac and Floyd both fought at 147 in their last fight so the fight should be at 147....it's simple.
Freddie just wants to take something away from a 30+ year old, inactive fighter who hasn't had to make weight in 3, going on 4 years by fight time.
He's an ass. He doesn't want to fight Mayweather on fair grounds so to me, it is trying to steal a victory.Comment

If Mayweather agrees and says the same like oscar that he will have no problem kaing weight, then what's your point? It's still simple: Pac weighs in at 147 by fight time in his prior fight before Oscar. Floyd shows up around 149.

I'll explain.
Floyd beat Hatton so fighting Hatton is less important to Manny's legacy.
People say Hatton is still the Man at 140, yet, he turned down Floyd twice at that weight so Floyd had no shot at being the "Man" at 140. Floyd moved up. The fight eventually happened but at 147. People claimed that it was the 147 pound division that gave a disadvantage to Ricky and that's why he lost. Both Floyd and Ricky weighed about 149 by fight time. Where do most, especially these two fighters, show up at by "Fight-Time" for their "140" pound bouts? They show up at around 149, like Ricky does, after they rehydrate. So, it isn't really a 140 pound bout, is it? If it was, these fighters would weigh, 140 pounds on fight night. Both Floyd and Ricky were basically rehydrated 140 pounds, except, they didn't have to bother with the charade of draining the water weight for the weigh-in.
Understand now?
It was really a 140 pound fight except there was no weight-drain fighters for the weigh-in. They skipped it and just showed up at their rehydrated weight.
For Pac: Since Pac is now officially a 140 pound fighter because he couldn't make 135 anymore, I said he should be looking for the "Man" and who is that, it's Floyd, not Ricky. But since even Manny has to weight-drain for his 140 pound bouts now, which is why he shows up at 147 for his 135 pound bouts, there is no need to bother with the charade of the 140 weight-drain for the weigh-in...so, since he fought at 147 and so has Floyd, and come fight night they will be the same weight, skip the charade of the 140 weight-drain, and just make it at 147 and be hydrated at all times.
Understand?

what was Manny's weight come fight time for Diaz? It was 147. What is Floyd's weight come fight time; it's about 149.I don't think so at all. Look at Manny's fight before against Diaz, he weighed in at 134. At 140, that's 6 pounds above that. When he put on only a few pounds after the weigh-in to go to just above the welterweight limit, that told the story that he wasn't a real welterweight. He was essentially a junior welterweight.
The only difference about the weigh-in from others is that he didn't cut water to make weight. Going to 140 from 142, I don't think that's a big leap for a guy who looked absolutely filled out at the weigh-in.
Stop looking at the weights that they have to drain for; that's not what they fight at.
It's also why Manny had to move up to 140 now. And even in this division, he will blow up towards 149+. Ask Freddie.Comment

Less important? You're a Fool! Hatton is still the linear champ at 140 and he is still undefeated at that weight..I'll explain.

The Point is Floyd shouldn't have to agree to anything because it is obvious that the fight should just be at 147. Both just fought there in their last bouts. Both show up by fight time around 149. Manny showed up at 147 for his 135 pound bouts...so tell me again what the point is to drain these fighters if there is a possibility of risk to their health. Just make it safe and skip the charade of the weigh-in since they are not going to show up at 140? are they?
Plus, if it were in the contract that both fighters had to make 140, which I doubt since Freddie said Manny has trouble, it would still be unfair to Floyd at this time in his career.
So, let's play fair. Both are the same size come fight night. No need to weight-drain for a fight. Let them just come hydrated.Comment

I think Manny should fight at 140-142 and come fight time at 145-148. That's his best weight class right now. If you want the best out of The Pacman then that should do it. He weighs in at 142 on Oscars fight so it does makes sense. I think Floyd could do that as well. Though he maybe the underdog again. Regardless, lets get it on.

Yeah, I look at the bigger picture and not some bull**** charade you fools like to play.
This game of dehydrate for a weigh-in, but don't worry, I will not be at that weight by fight time is bull****.
Fighters at 140 show up at 147+ for fight time. That's Welterweight. The one person who was fighting fair was Floyd. He shows up at Welterwedight at 147+
Hatton has a loss on his record against Floyd. Ricky avoided Floyd TWICE down at 140.
That's why Lennox said Hatton should basically retire if he can't beat Floyd because Floyd will always be the real Champ.
Lennox knew because he was looking at it from a HW perspective.Comment
