This fight is one i'm not sure about the outcome.

It's all down to Roy. We know what Joe is capable of, albeit frustrating to see him rewarded for slapping, but i'm not sure what Roy we are gonna see. Oh yeah, the writer is a douche to think it's guarantee'd for a Joe whitewash.

This is why shows on y.tube will surpass garbage like this

I love these so called boxing journalist with no boxing knowledge. He probably guaranteed Pavlilk and Cotto as well lol Google a few retired boxers and try to strut your stuff like you're smart lol Guys with no journalism experience on youtube are exposing geeks like yourself.

The "Gaurantee" thing was ignorant. If Buster Douglas could beat Mike Tyson, surely Roy Jones has a chance to beat any light heavyweight on the planet at any given time. I think , based on the first 24/7 episode, that Jones will be ready to take back over the light heavyweight division now that he has most of his confidence back. Joe would always have trouble with Jones' style. The speed will be a problem and Joe may get rocked early if he is not careful. I would def. be happy if Joe got punked out of there early after seeing what a fricken prick he really is. Also, if Joe does try and box Jones, he will wind up countered all day and lose a decision based on accuracy. The writer should be ashamed of himself for writing this garbage.

Woh Baby. Lots of denial here.
Noone is being disparaging about Jones Jr. The man was unearthly in his prime. However it is undeniable that he used that incredible speed and reaction time to win.
A big punch is the last thing to go. Ring generalship can last and last. Technique never leaves you.
Reaction speed declines with age. Explosive energy declines with age.
Older boxers can be great boxers (see Hopkins). Older athletes can be phenominal.
They can only excel if they have a skillset that is age friendly. If they do not they must adapt.
Sadly Jones Jr. by his very nature will never be what he was.

This is the same as all the fans (myself included) who wished to see the old Tyson. It was never going to happen. Tyson's speed and explosive power were what made him INCREDIBLE. It declined with lack of training but more importantly was impossible to reclaim due to age.

Sorry Guys, I feel for you but this one is unlikely to go RJJ's way. It's not impossible but it's exceedingly unlikely. I'd love to see it though.

Let's also hope and pray that these "judges" don't fall for Joe's slap bull****, most of which will probably be blocked by Jones....Judges will need to take heed to ring generalship, defensive technique, good effective clean punches and aggressiveness.........I'm just glad this fight is taking place here in the states as opposed to in Joe's hometown judge friendly Wales......

The writer promised that Roy would lose just so he would get this kind of reaction. Looks like it worked. Sure Roy has a chance. It's all styles. I like Calzaghe in this one, but that is why they make the fights.

You know, kind of like how Roberto Duran’s upset over Iran Barkley led to a third match between Hands of Stone and Sugar Ray Leonard - nine-years after the famous “No Mas” fight. Those pugilistic followers need to come back to reality because Jones hasn’t been an elite world class fighter since 2003 and has absolutely no chance of beating Joe Calzaghe.

He has a point. The fact some on you are mad shows he has a point. Jones doesn't have good solid fundamentals to enable him to fight this late in his career. Joe will have no problems landing on Jones like no one has had since 04.
