Many people here just do not see the potential that Dawson has. He may be middle of the group now, but a win over Tarver catapults him near the top and makes him one of the true top dogs.
His physical gifts are enormous and he would hold physical advantages over practically everyone in that list. He would be an extremely difficult person to beat for any of them.Comment

I don't think anyone will really give props to him even if he beats Tarver. I think his most impressive win was vs Adamek( who is right now a cruiserweight champ.. granted IBO). I think that he is just getting short changed due to the fact that he young but not a name. In a few more years he will get his respect if he remains undefeated. Many people here just do not see the potential that Dawson has. Tell me a good top level champion that Eubank has beaten after the Calzaghe fight or even the Watson tragedy? Just because he goes the distantce with the cruiserweight champion( that beat him decisively twice) does not mean that he was in his prime. Again he was never the same after Watson. Also, elaborate on how Johnson was ''clearly not'' still able to compete against the elite? What indicated that at all?Seriously, if I wanted to read Chad's autobiography i'd buy it. **** me, you're like a spin doctor.
Post-Calzaghe, Eubank went 12 rounds with the cruiserweight champ, couldve won then got stopped on a cut in a rematch. Does that mean he was prime?
The fact that Dawson was being backed up by a 40 year old Johnson - rather than meaning Johnson is prime (clearly not), maybe it means Dawson just isnt that good. BUT OH NO THAT CANT BE TRUE!
Tarver beat the best names when the division was "hot".
Come on, seriously, are you Dawson's PR man? Roy Jones was hot? Clinton Woods is hot?
Get to ****. Tarver is a good fighter but he's no Eubank - former undefeated middleweight champ, super middleweight champ. Im not even gonna mention names cos if Woods and Harding are "hot" then I could just about name anyone on Eubanks record.
The Ring Title is THE major belt. Hopkins beat Tarver, Calzaghe beat Hopkins. To be the man, you gotta beat the man. Its as simple as that
How does a fighter's performance change the outcome of the fight? That was Dawson's toughest test against his toughest opponents, and the main point is that Dawson got the win. He is young and at the stage where he can and will learn from his mistakes. Was Calzaghe not knocked down by Bryon Mitchell and another lesser opponent? Calzaghe won the fight and at the end of the day, its all that matters.
Lets compare Tarver's and Eubank's oppsition and accomplishments in the ring and see who was the overall better and greater fighter. Tarver will win everytime. Eubank was not willing to come over here to the USA to get the big money fights and prove himself against the elite. He was a very good champion, but not on Tarver's level when it comes to accomplishments. Tarver not only fought but beat the best light heavyweights of that era he was champion.Comment

Where you got Jeff Lacy on that list???:boobies:1. Joe Calzaghe- Undisputed, undefeated, 21 tilte defenses. Ring Magaazine Super Middle weight champ, Ring Magazine LH champ. doesn't have many fights left in him, But I have him #1 for now.
2. Kelly Pavlik- Undefeated, Undisputed Middleweight Champ. Sky is the limit for him, And if he KO's B-Hop then maybe he could be #1. Only 26 years old is a big positive for him also.
3. Bernard Hopkins- I know alot of people would disagree with me on this one, But the guy is a freak of nature, 43, and still a very good fighter. Gave Calzaghe everything he could handle. Some even thought Hopkins won. Something tells me he won't be #3 come October 18 though. Ring Magazine #2 LH.
4. Mikkel Kessler- Only lost was to Calzaghe in a great fight. He is the future of the SM division, but has to step up th elevel of competition.
5. Arthur Abraham- Undefeated, just KO'd Edison Miranda in an impressive manner, probably Pavlik biggest threat at MW. Great power, solid defense.
6. Chad Dawson- Undefeated LHW contender, probably has the brightest future at LHW. I think he beats Tarver next month no question. Chin is not the best , But has good skills, good workrate.
7. Jermain Taylor- only fighter he lost to was Pavlik. He beat Hopkins twice. People tend to forget about him for some reason. Still a very good fighter. Should beat Jeff Lacy with ease.
8. Antonio Tarver- I know Tarver is rated higher then Dawson, But he has beaten the better competition of the two. Talks better then he fight similar to Hopkins. Has had a good career, But I think this is his last big fight before hanging it up. His last fight with Clinton Woods was a borefest.
9. Lucian Bute- I know he hasn't really beatin anyboby, But I'm putting him at #9 cause he has LOADS of potential. In 5 years he could easily be #1 on my list. He could probably beat some guys on my list already.
10. Carl Froch- His biggest test to date is against Canada's Jean Pascal. has a great sneaky Uppercut that comes from nowhere. Time is against him he is 31, And a win aginst Pascal should catapolt him to a fight with Kessler or maybe a fight with Jermain Taylor.
Next in line... Felix Sturm,Glenn johnson, Anthony Mundine, Dennis Inkin,Comment

Cause after the Watson fight Eubank went on to have and win that Epic first fight with Nigel Benn ! And get a draw in a rematch!
He then fought a for the cruzerweight title twice and acquitted him self well all though he was giving away loads in size to his opponent!
I dont rate Tarver over Eubank !
Whos the best wins Tarver has on his resume?? and dose those wins realy count?Comment
