Well let me help you, Dawson was tested against Eric Harding in only his 22nd professional fight. Beat a very good champion in Adamek who was unbeaten and just stepped up to cruiserweight to stop last year's undisputed cruiserweight champion, Oneil Bell. In his last fight, he was EXTREMELY tested against Johnson( 2004's fighter of the year who beat Woods, Tarver and Jones in the same year). Hes battle tested. He vacated his WBC to fight for Tarver's IBO/IBF, and if he won will attempt to unify with Diaconu. I am not overrating and there is no gurantee that he will even beat Tarver( however i strongly believe that he will) but he is not getting his respect and is not talked about among the other champions at all and i can't see how that is possible.

He beat Glen Johnson., and Adamek. Dawson is the the real deal. At 175, who beats him? I think he has Tarvers number. I got 20k on it.

Former WBC champion and could be IBO/IBF champ this time next month.
I agree, Dawson is better than Kessler, Kessler isn't really that great IMO.

Chin or not, when you have a strong 6'3 slick southpaw that could not only out box just about anyone you put in front of him, but possess the power, there will be problems for anyone that he goes up against. He is just phemenonal to watch when he is on his A game.

I could never imagine Dawson breaking down mentally the way Kessler did in the Calzaghe fight. Dawson passed his truth test, Kessler failed. He was pretty much out gunned from mid rounds on. Dawson has gotten shook up and even dropped, and got up to win these fights. Of course people will pick Kessler, because everyone hasn't seen Dawson and when they did, it was his bad moments, and they were fights that he actually prevailed in. I bet on Kessler to beat Joe( nothing big, just a few push up bets with a few family menbers) and i was suprised at how much he was discourged against somone who he was bigger than and couldn't punch.

Calzaghe is an excellent fighter and i would see if Kessler just loss, but at one point i was wondering if Kessler would even finish the fight. He is a very talented fighter with very good skills, but i got off of his band wagon on this forum when people said that he was better than a prime Hopkins. He hasn't beaten anyone worthy of a mention and was outclassed when he stepped up.

Very overrated and when he was tested for the first time, didn't even put up a close fight and was pretty much done mid rounds.
Look I like Dawson a lot and he is def. the future of his divison. But his achivements thus far are not any greater then AAs. Hes only real test was Johnson and that was an ugly close fight that could have gone either way. The only problem is that the divison is filled with old timers and we havent seen Dawson in there with a young bull like himself yet. If you made a list you could place Dawson over AA, but its a pretty difficult argument for someone else to do also because Dawson has not done that much, yet.

Of course he does. He's white, and has some tat's. I mean, thats your criteria, right?
Dawson is fighting Tarver. Who is Kessler fighting again? 29-7, with 3 K.O's?
So, celebrate your poll. Cause you sure as hell seem to like smoking it.

Yes mate, we can all make up a big song and dance about everyone.

His title is still paper and he hasnt been tested against someone on Calzaghe's level.

40 year old Glen Johnson was his biggest test and I personally dont think he passed at all.

Anyone find it funny that Calzaghe is constantly shat on on this forum for fighting Hopkins and Jones - even though he's 37 himself.

Yet 26 year old Dawson fights two 40 year olds in a row and nothing gets said.

I got nothing against Dawson , I like him actually but Ive just never been a fan of double standards.

Race has nothing to do with it

Kessler is the better fighter...he would brutally KO Dawson
