  • I think everyone needs to stop worrying about Floyd and what he's doing. The guy is all over the news and websites and he's retired. Half of the people who say he sucks and won't pay to see him fight are the ones who talk about him the most.

Floyd doesen't need to be in the top 10 if he is talked about this much. He has all the recognition he needs. The only other two guys I have seen written so much about is Ali and Iron MIke.

Look at my first post in this thread dipstick, Not being in the top 25 is not even bad when right after that they say he is in the top 50 LOL, the difference between 25 and 50 when you think about the ammount of people that laced up the gloves is laughable, you are talking about hundreths of a percent. Also I do not think a P4P greatest list should include heavyweights so if it does then yes i think the list is bull****, there are heavyweights and everyone else.

Your biased because they way you talk about Floyd's opposition which was actually very good in total, while writing off his achievements at his original weight. You compare Floyd to DLH (who fought the most top guys of the last 25 years below heavy) yet when i bring up that he beat DLH you say DLH was nothing.

Tell me this Oscar was only 34, took care of himself fairly well, has really never been beat badly and has not even had that many fights; so how is he such a shell of a great fighter? I think Oscar would beat all 3 of the guys you listed in May 2007 or in December 2008.

When a fighter fades in a fight the guy he is fighting always has a role to play in it. In Ali-Foreman does Ali not get credit for wearing out Big George, in Cotto-Margarito do you not give credit to Margarito for wearing down Cotto. I can go on with this but i would just be talking above your head, since you have no desire to be objective.
          Owned!!!!!

Thanks, I feel as though we'll be hearing about floyd for many years to come because the bottom line is that he was the best, most talented fighter of our decade and win or lose, we all wish we could see him fight again because nobody puts on a boxing clinic like Floyd does.

            the end

                very biased eh?

                Do you comprehend basic english?

You'll never find a post of mind dismissing anything at 135 or below.

DLH is 3 - 3 in the last five years. Are you saying he is in or near his prime? His wins are against Steve Forbes, Mayorga and a gift vs Sturm.

                Thats impressive to you?

Btw, Floyd is one of the most skilled fighters I've ever seen in my 25 years of being a fan of boxing.

                  • Nothing wrong with that.

Being one of the 50 greatest pro fighters to lace them up is an amazing achievement.

                    • I wouldn't put Floyd in my top 100.

Great fighters were always willing to face the best opposition, they didn't cherry-pick and duck opponents the way Floyd has.

Did Holyfield ever duck anybody? Did Hearns? Did Ali? Did Frazier? Did Leonard?

                      No, of course they didn't.
