Resume-wise he is not. That's really the only way to make up all-time lists.

It's not exactly an insult in my opinion, Mayweather should consider it an achievement to be top 30, 40, 50, wherever he is ranked at.

In his own words he never got into the sport to prove the fans that he is the greatest, he only got into it for the money, the fame and perhaps in an attempt to prove something to himself. I'd say he was quite successful in doing that.

To be a top 100 fighter to me is an accomplishment. Think about how many fighters there have been over the zillion years boxing has been around. If you make the top 100, I'd say thats special.

Out of interest, if someone wins the linear title or beats the top guy at 135, 140 and 147, do you rate that above a fighter who won the belt at 135 and 147 in the days that 140 did not exist?

Things like that make it hard for me to compare fighters from different generations.

Maybe DLH is interfering and telling the writers not to rank Floyd too highly. I don't think he is, but either way, it does not seem to me that you would need to be biased in order to have Mayweather outside of the top 25.

Just to make one point, very few fighters claim to be the lineal champion of three different weight classes. There's only a handful of fighters that can make that claim, Emile Griffith, ODLH, Henry Armsrtong, Manny Pacquiao, SRL, PBF, etc. So the fact that mayweather is one of those few men and he did it while remaining undefeated that's pretty impressive.
And to top it off he also beat the reigning JWW king, although it was at a weight class higher. So he's the former king of three divisions, almost four but that's a moot point. Sometimes I wish he did fight hatton at 140, then he would be the only man in history to have 4 lineal titles.
With all that being said... I still agree with the ring
he shouldn't be any lower than 35 though
