Cotto Margarito did over 450k buys.... not to mention at no point did anyone boooo Marg or Cotto like they did at the Baldomir Mayweather fight (that was sad).

That said, Marg/COtto should have done more, but promotion and publicity was weak. HBO did not go to the extremes of promoting that they have for other big fights.

Furthermore (and this is not racist) Margarito's fan base is pure mexican and probably could not afford tickets. DLH's fans are american or at least americanized, hence they have more money and are not scared of being deported.

The only reason why DLH/Floyd was as successful as it was is because of DLH... not PBF!!!
450k...How do you know this?? If it did so good why wasn't it released FAST

How about the fight with Agustus on the same card with Brewster. Thats a city that had a million population. It didnt do great. Once again a fight I have been to.

        Question:

If Mayweather "before DLH" was such a low seller, why did "The World Awaits" do 2x Oscar's previous high?

I just checked. He was 23. that was before Corrales.

Come on, man. Be reasonable. Do you know that Oscar was doing 250K PPV buys when he started his career. You gotta build.

Not gonna look it up but it was 2000 or 2001. No excuses though, I actually think the Augustus fight was after some of those fights you were pimping.

Then please explain why Oscar didn't do those nums with Shane, vargas, hopkins, or Trinidad.

                Thanks in advance.

I think if floyd didnt have his 2 superfights he would be jealous of Cotto. Look at their young careers Cotto has already done 4 PPV's.

Nah. It was in 2000, but before Corrales. Before castillo. Before Ndou, corley, etc.

My take would be because Floyd was the p4p #1 and it was hyped silly, what with the 24/7, the first 1 of those if i remember right.
