thank you, that was an elegant way of stopping looking ridiculous.

Only, if someone has ”a boy” here, it's probably the poster with two pictures of a fighter around his posts, no?

I can only assume that this guy, when he states to the undefeated pound for pound champion of the sport getting "his ass handed to him", is referring to the first Castillo fight? Many people feel that Floyd lost a close fight. For future reference; dropping a close decision, even if Floyd had lost, does not constitute getting your ass handed to you.

When I 1st saw the Mayweather vs Castillo fight I said ****ing robbery! Then when I watched it a couple of times u notice Castillo isn't landing all the punch's people thought he was. I saw Mayweather as the winner but definitly not the clear winner. And btw Mayweather hand was broken. People don't take that into consideration. Mayweather has weak hands, Atleast he doesn't resort to slapping

I agree with this. It is easy to be swayed by the commentators going ballistic over Castillo's very ineffective body punching.

Another point is Leonard made Hagler fight him in a 12 rounder AND chose the size of the gloves. A lot of *****-assness going on with this guy, yet he is everybody's darling now that he's done. Just shows you how ******ed this forum has become. Instant gratification society full of little kids with short term memories.

People also forget that Leonard retired what 3, maybe 4 times? Yet Floyd gets laughed at every time he says he's done? Yeah, that seems fair.

Mayweather retired without fighting guys like Antonio Margarito Paul Williams and Miguel Cotto. which are top contenders right now. If Mayweather defeated these guys he would be a modern day Sugar ray leonard.
Cotto, Margarito and Williams are hardly comparable to Duran, Hagler, Hearns though are they? Really, if Mayweather was fighting at the same time as those guys he may have become champ and then would have been beaten by all of those above. Apart from Hagler maybe as Mayweather would not have fought at middleweight. He may not even have fought at WW with the talent that was there back then.

If you consider who was fighting at the weights around where Mayweather would have fought back then, it is very, very unlikely he would be undefeated or even close to a six weight champ. Pryor, Arguello, Cervantes, Benitez etc all at the lower weights.

People HERE hated him and many still do. So don't tell me Mayweather is the most hated guy out there. Maybe right now but compared to history? Not even close.
To say Ali was only hated in his prime is a big time ignorance on your part.

Ali was loved, then hated but still loved then loved some more.

For all of Ali's own hate he brought, many people still aggreed with hiim sure not everybody but Ali always got love even when he was hated, Ali was still loved.

In the Olympics Ali won the gold. Just like Leonard people backed Ali into the pros and got a share of Alis purse. Ali was supposed to behave like Louis. Didn't happen. People feared the ******s(black ******s) then as they do now(middle eastern ******s? So when Ali turned his back on Chritianity for ****** religion some people hated him. I can tell you more but im sure you know the rest of the love and hate people had with Ali????????

Mayweather will be remembered but so will Margarito in the same breath. When you look at a great boxer you also look at the errors or lows in his career.
