Did he earn his respect by ducking all rematches?

Or by imposing all sorts of conditions with his drawing power?

Or with the way he destroyed Pryor?

        Or forget the above.

You and everyone here fail to notice that for Leonard to be different from Mayweather, he should have fought the rising stars of around his 30s, right?

But he didnt, McCallum or Nunn would have been excellent opponents, but he chose to fight old men like Hearns and Duran.

if u aint Good enough to win the first time around when u have your big opurtunity then why should the winner be obliged to give u a rematch u have to deal with it, if u dont turn up or use the wrong tactics thats your problem

Hopkins aint getting a rematch with Calzaghe and that fihgt was closer than Hagler v Leonard as was Taylor v Hopkins

He also kept his precious wins safe by waiting 8 years to rematch Hearns, after that life and death fight, and no rubber match with Duran (whom he also lost to, you seem to forget to point that out...) for 10 years

              HAHAHA

why would you discredit yourself with such a statement?

There was an immediate rematch of Hopkins-Taylor. Neither Hopkins nor the public seem to be demanding a rematch

Leonard knew damn well that after ”beating“ Hagler that type of “fight”, all the boxing world wanted a rematch, in fact he had to “retire” (LOL) to duck it.

You have Ray Leonard in your avatar... why am I bothering?

Actually no we won't, Leonard fought the best and the biggest threats of his era and PBF has NOT! PBF will be a forgotten man in 10 years, the way cotto, Pacman, Marguez, Pavlik, BHOP, etc. These MEN not boys fought the best.. PBF will be remembered as a big mouth super talented Boxer but he wil never be mentioned in the same breath as SRL, Tommy Hearns, Duran, Hagler, Sweet Pea, etc.

                the truth hurts

                    Razor thin...
                    HHAHAHA

I would think that would be no people nuthugging fighters from 20 years ago, but you are pathetic...

                    1) Leonard-Duran was not a “razor thin” decision, look at Leonard's expression after that fight to know that there was nothing in common with Hagler-Leonard in terms of how close it was. NOTHING.

                    2) He didnt need to moan because he immediately got his rematch, after a fight where the winner was clear to the entire boxing world. On the other hand he retired to avoiding a rematch with Hagler, in a fight on which people still discuss. EDIT: No **** Hagler complained. To make Leonard's behavior even more obvious he made his comeback when Hagler retired.

Not only Mayweather got a W against Castillo in the 1st place, but after a close fight there was a rematch to dissipate all controversy. OH, if only Leonard EVER was involved in rematches of his own close fights, then what you type would not smell like bull**** from a mile.

maybe they should have used Leonards expression to score the fight instead of using the scorecards then LOL ,idiot

Leonard v Duran was closer than Hagler v Leonard thats the point im making

but Hagler knew before hand he would not be getting a rematch he got pwned and acted like the biggest baby in the history of the sport ,Leonard said he only wanted to beat Hagler and he did it end of story

im not suprised Floyd rematched Castillo it was the least he could do after blantently robbing the fella ,Castillo was nothing but a B Class fighter and he still Pwned PBF shows u how overated that chump really was no wonder he wants no part of Cotto if Castillo can own his ass
