Mayweather's "Cotto isn't a PPV draw" claims just sounds like stalling/negotiating tactics.

Neither were Baldomir, Judah, Gatti, and Hatton (in the US).

Like Leonard and Dundee delaying the Hearns fight for a few months to let it build, or Holyfield in late 1997 turning down a unification bout with Lewis, wanting more money (he ended up getting $20 million).

What i dont understand is, as a boxing fan, why would u WANT to wait to see one of boxing most anticipated fights? How would that benefit you? In all of sports, i prefer to see my favorite teams/players perform as often as possible.

When did you hear me say I personally want to wait? You havent, another poster putting words in my mouth, you wont find a fan of either who would rather wait to see it, but they understand from Floyd's point of view why the wait is taking place. Id like to see the fight tomorrow, but Im not calling the shots.

Floyd always said it takes two and right now the others havent proved they are PPV worthy, Leonard said he didnt fight Pryor because Pryor didnt bring enough to the table financially, same difference.

Now you need to bring in money..and so far the two biggest power payers in the sport are Oscar and Hatton.

Your point? Neither was Hatton, but had Floyd not took that fight, Hatton's fans saying he is ducking would be moreso in number than Cotto's fans.

"Calling out" fighters is overrated anyway. Actions speak louder than words. The real action is done at the negotiating table, not in a post-fight interview.
