if floyd is such a superstar and his fights sell so well why would he give a **** what the other fighter sells. did oscar ever sit around saying "you know i cant fight so and so because he dont sell ppv".hell no because if he did the floyd fight would have never happened in the first place. before oscar gave floyd a piggyback ride floyds fights were wack as **** having fans walking out before the fight was even over and not selling PPV numbers. he basically accepts that fact cause he wont fight a fighter who cant put up mega numbers cause he cant do it either.
let me remind you that floyd is in his fourth weight class. he is not xome contender to go running around calling out every fighter you think can beat him.

at the age of 31 going on 32 he has to maximize his profit and call it quits. oscar 2, hatton 2 and cotto I are floyd's last three big paydays. stop acting like floyd is a natural 147lber

your post has nothing to do with what i said. eveytime someone makes a valid statement against floyd his fans start singing the same song completely ignoring the facts that have just been stated. what does floyd not being naturally 147 have to do with his fights before oscar not selling. nothing. who said anything about him calling someone out.no one. all i said is the truth, if floyds opponents dont sell he wont either because he is not ppv draw.

Floyd gets good PPV numbers because he fights popular fighters that sell tickets. Floyds only bargaining chip with these fighters is that he is the #1 p4p fighter atm. Take that away and Floyd has a real problem. He obviously cant fight a steve forbes or a laczano and sell out with a huge adoring crowd can he. Floyd knows this thats why hes going to beat up dlh and hatton again and then retire for good.

Contrary to what some believe, Judah/Cotto only did 160,000, Margarito/Cintron I did 29,000, Cotto and Margarito on the same card this year on FREE HBO was one of HBO's worst ratings...ever. Margarito is deemed a "killer", killers are supposed to be must see tv, heck millions churn in every week to watch actors play killers on CSI and other crime shows, but when a real life one is before us we dont tune in, something is fishy with that. I know I wouldnt sit down and gamble with someone who doesnt bring anything to the table, props to Floyd.

          tell floyd to retire

Actually thats exactly what oscar did/said to PBF, He said alo those things but he still fought Mayweather. Mayweather is saying all those samethings and he would still fight Cotto if Cotto keeps winning.

I understand the realities of money, but I'm a boxing fan first.

Why do you care about his bank account so much?

Real boxing fans would just want him to fight the best.

This also applies to YOU why do you care so much how much Joe calzaghe makes if he fight Carl froch instead of Roy jones junior? Or hatton not fighting Witter because He isnt a payday? Because i have heard all those same excuse from YOU in particular...I guess you're not a REAL boxing fan then?

He doesn't have a point. This is boxing we're not here to support a television network.

                      RJ_ct has it right.
