I didn't include interim or IBO champions (as is on Calzaghe's).
I didn't mention reclaimed championships for the opponent list (ie 3x light heavweight champion, etc). (as is on Calzaghe's).
I didn't include any other of his better opp that was not undefeated or a world champion. (as is on Calzaghe's).
Calzaghe's resume just doesn't stack up against that.
I could do the same for Mayweather and Toney and several other fighters, but it takes too long, so if you want, check it out yourself.Comment

Superchamp, you did a good job on that!
Jones has a great resume, definitely better than my favorite fighter, Joe Calzaghe.
But it doesn't change the fact that Joe has a very impressive resume.Comment

Remember what you asked me to do? Now I'll ask you: name some white fighters you like, and give the reasons.
(I've asked the same to DiegoFuego in the past, and he was honest and admitted he doesn't like white boxers)Comment

surprising how many champs he beat, and people say he didnt beat all that great of competition.Roy Jones Jr:

although you have to take into consideration that a few of those former champs were Welterweights and everything...and then you have McCallum, who was like 42 or somethin...
but still impressive as hell.
although you can do something similiar to even Arturo Gatti
Champions beat:
Tracy Harris Patterson x2
Gabriel Ruelas
Joey Gamache
Terron Millet
Leonard Dorin
Jesse James Jeija
Calvin Grove
Undefeated:
Joe Hutchinson 18-0-2
Gianluca Branco 32-0-1
Leonard Dorin 22-0-1
Thomas Damgaard 37-0
Yea, thats right, the same number of wins over champs that Joe Calzaghe has had. (If you only count the WBO, WBC, IBF and WBA belts.)
Im not trying to compare Arturo Gatti's record to Calzaghe's, that would just be ******...but it just goes to show how much easier it is for fighters to be 'world champs' nowadays...with so many damn belts around.
And records can be very deceiving.
You really can only judge fighters by who they fought, and you should watch these guys fight in other fights before you judge how good of a win they are.Comment

No, that's seven world titleholders to Joe's nine, excluding the IBO. And Joe has defeated unified champions (Kessler) and has two Ring titles simultaneously.Champions beat:

Leonard Dorin

But Gatti has a very good resume too - and he accomplished it without as much natural talent of Joe and Roy.Comment
