Joe Cazaghe's resume: very impressive

Even if so a DAY before the fight you apparently called it Hatton by TKO. You must've learned to duck and dodge issues like your favorite fighter dodged real challenges throughout his career.Comment

Considering you weren't even a fan of boxing back then, I'm not ashamed at all.
Add to that the fact that nobody knew anything about Calzaghe or Lacy because neither had ever fought a real solid opponent and it was a 50/50 fight. I believe Lacy was even FAVORED to win, that's how little anybody knew about the pansy **** who hid in his own country fighting nobodies his whole career. So basically you're ******ed and I was completely justified in picking Lacy.Last edited by DiegoFuego; 05-31-2008, 12:24 PM.Comment

I like lots of them.
Mosley - he has good character, nice guy, doesn't trash his opponents, great fighter, exciting to watch, doesn't fight dirty
Taylor - nice honest guy, good sport, good fighter
Brewster - spoke against dogfighting, Christian, not a dirty fighter, exciting to watch
Frazier - all time great - exciting, lots of heart, clean fighter, didn't trash talk
Leonard - 100% class in every way, one of the most talented of all time
Foreman - great guy, loved his country, on his best nights perhaps best heavyweight ever
Norton - exciting to watch, good character, didn't trash talk
Louis - great fighter
Lacy - good character, honest, not dirty, makes fights exciting by trying for KO
Barrett - real pro in every sense
Walker - exciting young heavyweight, underrated
And lots of others, past and present.Last edited by The Hammer; 05-31-2008, 12:35 PM.Comment

That's one of your silliest posts, Diego.Considering you weren't even a fan of boxing back then, I'm not ashamed at all.

Calzaghe had fought and defeated many solid opponents before Lacy, i.e. Eubank, Mitchell, Brewer.
And I've been a boxing fan for much longer than you believe.Last edited by The Hammer; 05-31-2008, 12:37 PM.Comment

see thats the problem tunney. Many of his opponents have held world titles:
Eubank (WBO twice, at 160 and 168)
Reid (WBC at 168)
Hopkins (IBF, WBC, WBO, WBA, Ring at 160, and IBO, Ring at 175)
Kessler (WBA and WBC at 168)
Lacy (IBF at 168)
Mitchell (WBA twice at 168)
Brewer (IBF at 168)
Veit (interim WBO twice at 168)
Woodhall (WBC at 168)
Thornberry (IBO at 168)
Some of the others were strong opponents too:
Bika (contender champion 2007)
Sheika (was coming off a win over Glen Johnson)
Some were undefeated:
Kessler (39-0)
Lacy (21-0)
Veit (30-0)
Hughes (12-0)
Delaney (21-0)
Calzaghe currently holds the prestigious Ring title in two different weight classes, super middleweight and light heavyweight, at the same time!
It's a very good resume by any standards.
i didnt put much worth in eubanks and reid and the wins before.
but after exposing lacy and the kessler hopkins wins slappy calzaghes
resume is impressive!
and if you didn't like the way calzaghe won against hopkins then maybe that person wouldn't think much of his resume.Last edited by STEELHEAD; 05-31-2008, 12:36 PM.Comment

It's just that Ricky goes on all kinds of threads blithering on about people being ****** for picking Lacy over Joe.
Surely it's a bit hypocritical since he posted this one the Floyd vs. Ricky FINAL PREDICTIONS thread the day before the fight:
Then spinelessly tries to defend it by saying it was a joke. Wow.Comment
