Fights are scored round by round.

      Rounds are scored on

      clean hard punches
      effective aggression
      defense
      ring generalship

now, based on these. how the **** did Chavez win 6 rounds against Whitaker. Cut the revisionist bull****. It IS one of the worst robberies ever.

For those who talk aobut the new kids dont know, and other bull**** like that, go watch a Willie Pep or Nicolino Locche fight, and

      SHUT THE **** UP

So you think Whitiker running away from Chavez won him the 12 round? You don't secure a fight with a run and smile!

I had it 8-3-1, with the first round even because Chavez came out strong and fought his fight even though Whitaker outpunched him.

It was seen as such a big robbery because of the circumstances. In close fights, we were accustomed to seeing Whitaker robbed. Even in some not-so-close fights (Ramirez). It was wrong what those WBC AKA Don King and Chavez buddies judges did to Whitaker. They should've been pistol-whipped and thrown in jail.

And the main reason it was seen as such a robbery? Because Whitaker clearly won and had his number.

whitaker definetly deserved the decision no doubt but the actualy closeness of the fight is always exaggerated ,chavez made this a good close fight i thought whitaker won but not to the extent it was a near shutout ,maybe 7rounds to 4 with 1 even

You do win a fight by making your opponent look amateurish and consistently landing most of the clean punches. Really, the only argument here is whether it was the biggest robbery or just a regular robbery.

Chavez, easily... even though the Showtime geeks were praising Whitaker for ring generalship, when he got their heads caught in the ropes to waste time... how ******.

I ended up 7-5 Whitaker... but it was a 7-5 that is closer than it seems because Chavez won the 12th, meaning Whitaker already had the fight in the bag for me going into the 12th.

I should start a topic about how ****** ring generalship is come to think of it.
