Considering Czyz's style don't you expect him to be biased towards the pressure fighter, even if the pressure fighter was not landing anything clean.

I definately didn't go into the match looking for rounds to give to Chavez. Hell, I already said that I am biased towards counterpunching slicksters if I am biased at all in judging (I mean, ****, look at my favorite fighters). But Chavez clearly won the first 2. Whitaker took back round 3. Chavez came out and clearly won round 4. Then he absolutely charged Whitaker down and landed some good **** in round 6, giving him 4 rounds. By the time he won his next round, Whitaker had already won the bout on my card, and Whitaker though so too, because the 12th was given to Chavez because Whitaker didn't attempt to win the 12th, at all.

Rounds 6 and 7 really were enough to make me think that was the worst robbery ever. I'm going to have to watch that fight at some point.

Whats weird is that in a lot of the big WBC fights the judges are so old and wear thick glasses.

some of the judges are in there 70's.

I'm rewatching Whitaker-Chavez right now... I do remember the fight being a hell of a lot closer than most people make it out to be. Right now I have watched the first 6 rounds, and I have to tell you... I think Chavez won 4 of them. 1, 2, 4 and 6. I do remember Pernell comes on pretty damn strong in the later rounds, but even if Chavez doesn't win another round, it would end up 116-112 on my card.

Now, I'm not the best judge in the world, or probably even in the upper half, but I can tell you that it means something when I see a brawler/swarmer win a round from a counterpunching slickster, because I usually see a slickster avoiding most of the incoming damage and returning some of his own, yet I still have Chavez winning 4 rounds.

But seriously... people act like this fight was a 12 round to 0 assbeating by Whitaker, and truth is, it wasn't. He clearly won. He clearly got screwed. It clearly was not even close to the worst robbery.

I honestly thought chavez won the fight. Chavez had and still has so many haters that anytime he didn't KO a fighter they tried to make it look like he received a gift.

Keep in mind, at the time of this fight Chavez was pretty far past his prime
(84-0 w/ 72 KOS, undefeated 12 + years, 23-24 undefeated title defenses and what 34-35 years old?) while Whitaker was in his full prime.

Had Chavez been in his prime the fight would not have even been close....

Well mostly I was complaining because n00bs say that Whitaker-Chavez and Mayweather-Castillo I are the worst robberies ever, when there are fights like Forrest-Quartey, Casamayor-Santa Cruz, Ottke-Reid (I haven't seen it, but I haven't heard anyone say it wasn't).

I don't know, I wish people would just put things in perspective and not exaggerate so much.
