      Absolutely.

Chavez won this fight hands down.

      psyche.

But really, Casamayor/Santa Cruz was a much worse robbery. Whitaker was the champ and got to keep his title and he was fighting a smaller, older Chavez who had no business at WW, but still put on a good show.

One of the biggest robberys ive seen,i only gave Chavez three rounds,Pernell schooled him and it was sad to see how happy he was in the 12th,and just get it taken away from him,he would have been the first guy to beat Chavez if he didnt get robbed of a draw, even a draw was bull****

Isnt it funny the most "controversial robberys" always happen to Whitaker? IMHO he lost agaisnt Chavez and DLH. No doubt about it to me. The question is his style and I guess will always be debated.

The rematch was years too late and didn't prove anything. I thought DLH did barely enough to beat Whitaker, but anyone who scored Whitaker-Chavez for JCC can't be taken seriously as far as judging boxing matches go. Sorry for the disrespect, but how could you possibly have Chavez winning that fight?

Thats my belief on this matter, Its either they're Chavez's family(Then i understand) or they KNOW nothing about the way boxing is scored
              .

Taylor was 27 years old in the rematch, he lost to a great. Why do people still dispute that?
I havent seen the Whitaker-Chavez fight in a long time, so I wasnt really commenting on that more than the differnce in opinions on Whitakers style.(Whitakers has as many "controversial decisions" as anyone)Now the Oscar- Whitaker fight to me was a DLH win without question. Like I said before its Whitakers style that I cant force myself to judge favorably. Some are the complete opposite of me and think Whitaker "schooled" DLH.

The JCC-Taylor rematch was over four years after their first fight. Meldrick had suffered two brutal knockouts in the interim and was clearly not the same fighter he was in the first fight, regardless of age.

Taylor was out of his personal prime without a doubt. But the 2 KOs happend in about a 10 fight span between the 1st and 2nd fight. The frist KO was to a great fighter in Terry Norris who could have possibly beat him at any point in his career.
